Senior Architect, OpenShift
Red Hat
• Collaborate with project and customer team members to meet timelines and goals • Contribute to project documentation and diagrams, including quality assurance (QA) and ticket and bug management • Mentor and share knowledge with customers • Work with senior associates to guide the adoption of automation techniques and DevOps processes to improve the cloud life cycle, including infrastructure and application uptime, availability, and time-to-market • Design and advocate solutions using cloud technologies, design principles, integration points, and automation methods
Job Requirements
- 8-10 years in a related technology position, e.g., sales, consulting, operations, development, etc
- 5+ years of experience with Public Cloud and Linux technologies
- 3+ years of experience with automation frameworks and tools like Puppet, Chef, Salt, or Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform
- 3+ years of experience with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform or Kubernetes
- Thorough knowledge of network functions virtualization (NFV), cloud software-defined networking (SDN) or storage disciplines, and DevOps models and technologies
- Experience with storage systems like FiberChannel (and/or FCOE), iSCSI, or other Software Defined Storage technologies.
- Extensive experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration and design
- Virtualization platforms utilizing KVM, QEMU, OpenStack, OpenShift Virtualization
- Experience with AppDev automation and pipelines. Technology like Jenkins, Tekton, ArgoCD, etc
- Experience with networking technologies including VLANs, routing protocols, IPAM solutions, and Load Balancers. Technology like Infoblox TCPWave, F5, etc
- Experience in designing and delivering implementations using various public and private cloud infrastructure technologies and providers
- Knowledge of Virtualization technologies such as KVM, Physical-2-Virt, and Virt-v2v.
- Broad and deep technical experience with VMware ESXi software, including vCenter, and VM lifecycle operations using VMware tools preferred.
- Interest and knowledge in AI/ML technologies and recent developments.
- User-level Admin-level familiarity with vSphere, RHV, or OpenStack VMware infrastructure, including ESX, Vcenter, [S/DV]Switches/NSX, Datastores, vSAN, vVols, vRealize, SRM, Backup software
- Expert level with VMware VM foundational technologies for networks ([S/DV]Switches/NSX)
- Expert level with VMware VM foundational technologies for storage (Datastores, vSAN, vVols)
- Knowledge of common Add-Ons or third-party tools, including Aria/vRealize Suite, SRM, Backup software, and Performance tools)
- Experience with technologies including OpenStack, Red Hat Virtualization, Microsoft Hyper-V, Amazon Web Services, and Microsoft Azure a plus
- Experience with hyper-converged technologies like IBM Fusion, Nutanix, Dell Apex
- Experience in Financial Services
