Job Summary: We are seeking a highly talented and creative individual to join our team as a Creative Specialist, responsible for innovating and designing content including graphics and other marketing materials for our team. This role requires a unique blend of creativity, technical expertise, leadership, and a passion for technology. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating compelling and innovative digital content that aligns with our brand and meets our business objectives. This is a hands-on design role. You'll own projects from brief to final delivery, collaborate with marketing and sales teams, and have real creative input on work that gets seen. About 20% of your time will support our WordPress website - updating pages, formatting content, and keeping things visually consistent. If you have motion or video skills, there's room to use them; if not, that's fine too. Key Responsibilities: - Design campaign assets, paid media, event graphics, presentations, and sales collateral that reflect a premium brand - Build and maintain visual consistency across digital and print touchpoints - email, social, web, and print - Update and support the Summit 7 website in WordPress (~20% of your time) - page layouts, imagery, content formatting - Manage your own projects: interpret briefs, hit deadlines, and own the quality of your output - Collaborate with marketing, sales, and leadership to translate business goals into compelling visuals - Contribute ideas - we want a designer who pushes concepts, not just executes them - Edit or produce motion graphics and video content on an as-needed basis (nice to have, not a dealbreaker) - Design and coordinate the printing and shipping of company merchandise, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining inventory records. Requirements - 3-5+ years of professional graphic design experience (agency, in-house, or freelance) - A strong portfolio with recent work across both digital and print - this is the most important part of your application - Expert-level Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; solid working knowledge of InDesign - Experience updating or building pages in WordPress - you don't need to code, but you should be comfortable in the CMS - Strong communication skills - you can take a brief, ask the right questions, and deliver - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects with tight deadlines. - Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software Bonus Points with... - Experience with After Effects or Premiere Pro for motion graphics or video editing - Background in B2B, tech, or government/defense sector design - Familiarity with UX or web design best practices - Motion/video samples or websites in your portfolio Work Conditions Work is typically performed in an office environment. Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time. The person in this position may need to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
