• Research, write and edit technical documents, such as program plans, plan amendments, producer guidance documents, and other related materials. • Transform complex information from subject matter experts into clear, concise and user-friendly documentation. • Ensure a consistent voice and adherence to CAA's style guide and templates across all materials, making necessary adjustments to maintain consistency. • Collaborate effectively with subject matter experts (e.g., program managers, legal counsel, operations staff) to gather necessary information. • Synthesize and incorporate feedback from diverse stakeholders, maintaining document accuracy and consistency. • Participate in document reviews and provide constructive feedback on others' work. • Ensure consistency, clarity, and alignment of documentation with regulatory standards and company branding. • Maintain version control and document management systems (e.g., Teams/SharePoint). • Actively utilize generative AI tools to assist with content generation, summarization of complex legal or regulatory texts, drafting initial document outlines, and identifying key information for documentation. • Evaluate and implement best practices for integrating generative AI into the technical writing workflow to improve speed and quality. • Utilize advanced Microsoft Word features, including styles, table of contents generation, cross-referencing, master documents, and templates, to create professional and easily navigable documents. • Continuously evaluate and improve documentation templates to streamline the writing and publishing process. • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, Communications, Environmental Studies, Law, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a technical writer, preferably in a regulatory, environmental compliance, or legal setting.
- Strong understanding of EPR frameworks and sustainability regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and Adobe InDesign with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word.
- Familiarity with style guides (e.g., AP Style, Chicago Manual of Style) and the ability to consistently apply them.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a valid Driver's License with clean driving history.
