Role Description Reporting to the Sr. Benefits Manager, HR Services, the 401k Benefits Analyst supports HR Shared Services (HRSS) in benefits, payroll, and system processes. The work includes updating/maintaining the HR recordkeeping system, performing regular plan audits, and reconciliations for benefit programs. The 401k Benefits Analyst is responsible for assisting with the daily administration of benefits and backs up the Health Benefits Analyst. - Administers 401(k) plans, ensuring timely and accurate processing of contributions, loans, match, audits, compliance filings (e.g., Form 5500), and ongoing plan maintenance. - Supports administration of HSA, HRA, maternity grant programs, and the wellness program, including funding, compliance, and employee communications. - Performs regular audits and reconciliations of benefit enrollment data to ensure accuracy, eligibility, and timely corrections in collaboration with vendors. - Assists with benefits compliance activities including non-discrimination testing, plan documentation, and regulatory changes; escalates non-compliance issues as needed. - Provides Tier 2 support for employee benefit inquiries, coordinating with vendors to resolve complex issues. - Supports and tests HRIS system updates related to benefits, including open enrollment, life events, and M&A activity. - Prepares and delivers reporting on benefit utilization, enrollment, and trends; identifies and recommends process improvements. - Manages vendor relationships and hosts recurring vendor meetings to ensure smooth benefit plan operations and employee education. - Maintains process documentation, ensures confidentiality, and upholds organizational values in daily interactions. - Participates in cyclical HR processes and projects, including open enrollment, system testing, and cross-functional initiatives. - Learns and performs duties of the Health Benefit Analyst when additional coverage is needed. - Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, including but not limited to continuously growing in alignment with the Company’s core values, competencies, and skills. Qualifications - Required Bachelor's Degree (preferably in HR) or applicable experience in benefit and compensation plans, leave management, policy and HR cyclical processes for a mid-size organization. Requirements - Required 2-4 years of experience in benefits administration or related field required.
