Role Description J Michael Consulting (JMC) is seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to support our Project Managers in keeping projects on track, organized, and successful. In this role, you'll help with scheduling, documentation, coordination, and day-to-day project operations, working closely with teams across government, nonprofit, and private sectors. This position is perfect for someone with a background in public health informatics and a passion for project management. You'll help ensure projects run smoothly, meet deadlines, and maintain high standards of quality and communication. Responsibilities - Develop and maintain project materials such as project management plans, workplans, dashboards, trackers, decision logs, and change request documentation. - Support PMO and client reporting requirements, including weekly or monthly status reports, resource utilization tracking, and schedule performance updates. - Assist in preparing materials for project governance or leadership meetings, steering committee meetings, and client briefings. - Coordinate day-to-day project team activities, timelines, and deliverables across multiple concurrent projects. - Effectively communicate with stakeholders of varied expertise and/or technical strengths to include collaboration across multi-functional teams to successfully accomplish project requirements. - Assist with project management, identifying risks, mitigation strategies, and monitoring the risk log to ensure project milestones remain achievable and on track per project scope as defined in statement of work. - Coordinate teams using client directed methods and/or JMC PMO derived methods to develop documentation to support approach and delivery, tracking, collaborative tools and templates to ensure project goals are met. - Support the Lead Project Manager for clients across multiple informatics initiatives. - Serve as central communication coordination point for project team and client, authoring or editing deliverables, preparing meeting agendas and capturing minutes, preparing communication plans, status updates, and maintaining organized documentation repositories with version control. - Coordinate directly with hospital, public health, and laboratory stakeholders as needed. - Coordinate with technical and public health consulting SMEs. - Maintain awareness of public health data standards, system interoperability concepts, and jurisdictional reporting requirements. - Support data collection, requirements gathering, documentation of workflows, business processes, and system needs as applicable to project's scope. - Collaborate with informatics, interoperability, and technical teams to create testing and evaluation plans or technical documentation to guide client decision making or usage in public health system implementations, modernization, or transformations.
