Software Quality Assurance Engineer III

Role Description Works with multiple teams in development testing and production teams to create, publish, and implement risk-based QA test strategies. Develops and executes complex test scenarios. Creates and executes automated test scripts including functional API data and performance tests while contributing to the scalability of the automation framework. Defines, tracks, and reports on quality assurance metrics such as defects and test results. Identifies improvement opportunities and drives updates to quality processes. Requires minimal supervision. Supervisory Responsibilities: - This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Administrator for the test management systems - Identify and implement improvements to QA processes - Become a domain expert on the systems under test - Drive and optimize test case prioritization and automation road mapping - Optimize existing automation scripts and performance management - Increased focus on automated scripting - Create risk-based test plans/strategies and automation designs - Create complex SQL statements - Review and provide feedback to the PM/BA teams on missing requirements dependencies and high-risk issues - Provides training and assists in the onboarding process - Design and execute manual and automated test cases for functional regression and/or performance testing including both back-end and front-end systems Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in an IT related field (or equivalent work experience) - 5-8 years experience in a Quality Assurance or comparable work experience - Experience with Agile, Quality Assurance, and SDLC methodologies to drive designs and process improvements - Experience in manual and automation test design, scripting, execution, and reporting - Experience with testing tools such as Zephyr, Jira, Postman, Github, Selenium, etc. - Experience with automating test scripts and framework maintenance - Experience in coding languages (Java, JavaScript) and SQL is preferred Requirements - Ability to solve complex problems and apply critical thinking to prevent issues Physical Requirements - Work is performed indoors with potential for exposure to safety and health hazards related to office work. - Could periodically travel to other office and operational sites. - The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. - Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Job Requirements
