Reinsurance Operations Specialist - GRiDS This is a remote role that can be performed from anywhere within the continental US, with a preference for candidates in the Central, Eastern or Mountain timezones. About GRiDS & the BEO Team GRiDS is an internal suite of applications used by Aon’s Risk Capital business segment for the end‑to‑end processing of reinsurance placements. The Business Entity Operations (BEO) team partners with global business units across Aon to create and maintain entities in GRiDS and to ensure that all placements meet internal and external compliance requirements. What the day will look like The Reinsurance Operations Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate and compliant entity data within GRiDS and associated systems. The role combines strong functional knowledge of entity maintenance, an understanding of regulatory and market security requirements, and the ability to support process and system improvements. The role holder acts as a key point of contact and emerging Subject Matter Expert (SME) for entity structures, client and market codes, and related applications, while also providing reporting, analysis, and operational support to brokers, Finance, Tax, Treasury, and senior stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Entity & Data Management - Understand how changes in Entity Maintenance impact other functional areas and GRiDS applications and raise/resolve issues as appropriate. - Maintain global entity names, addresses, and related information in Entity Maintenance and the Contact Maintenance System (CMS). - Perform “new customer” vetting procedures, including money laundering, sanctions, and regulatory checks in accordance with global policies. - Research new and existing entities that Aon works with and update Entity Maintenance accordingly. - Create new cedent and reinsurer codes and maintain accurate grouping information for all existing codes. - Consult with the Tax team, brokers, and advocates to help manage and validate tax-related data within GRiDS. - Check and approve bank details supplied by the Treasury team in line with global procedures and internal controls. - Research and maintain global customer structures to support the integrity and consistency of management information. - Perform placement overrides in accordance with Market Security restrictions, ensuring adherence to all internal and external compliance requirements. - Research and maintain the financial impairment status of entities and associated client and market codes in GRiDS. - Analyze and interpret legal entities and global group structures and ensure these are accurately reflected in GRiDS.
