You’ll work with key cross-functional stakeholders to understand business priorities, define problem statements, requirements, and user needs. You’ll lead workshops, contribute to strategy discussions, capture design requirements, and clarify feasibility considerations. Your designs will evolve from early-stage concepts and low-resolution wireframes to high-resolution screens and technical flows. You’ll manage design handover to engineering and documentation. - You’ll translate raw data into meaningful insights. You’ll understand the technical inputs from Dexcom and partner systems, manage feature and system states, and be able to communicate this information effectively to users. - You’ll help plan and support research and testing activities through collaboration with our User Research and Human Factors teams. You’ll help synthesize research and testing to inform the designs, gather data to support your point of view, and define next steps. - You’ll lead presentations to cross functional teams and management. Job Description: Title: Staff Experience Designer Location: Remote US or Canada Reports to: Director, Product Design Vacancy: This is an existing vacancy The Role We’re looking for a Staff Product Designer who thrives in complexity and thinks in systems, not just screens. You’ll help shape the future of JD Power’s data‑driven products and platform—turning complex enterprise workflows and analytics into experiences that feel clear, intuitive, and genuinely useful. This isn’t just about designing features. It’s about stepping back to see how everything connects—defining frameworks, aligning teams, and shaping direction. You’ll partner closely with Product, Engineering, Data, and business leaders to clarify ambiguous problems and turn them into thoughtful, high‑impact solutions across multiple products. You’ll raise the bar for design across the organization—mentoring others, evolving our design system, and helping teams move faster without sacrificing quality. The role demands a balance of systems thinking, strong visual craft, meticulous attention to detail, and product‑level decision‑making, with the ability to operate autonomously in ambiguity. You’ll work primarily in Figma and Adobe CC, incorporating AI‑enhanced workflows where they accelerate insight or polish. What You’ll Make Possible (Impact) - Bring clarity to complex, data‑heavy enterprise workflows and reduce cognitive load. - Shape cohesive, cross‑product journeys that scale across the platform. - Improve consistency and velocity by evolving reusable patterns and frameworks. - Connect UX decisions to measurable business outcomes and customer value. - Elevate the quality bar across teams through mentorship, critique, and system governance. Your impact won’t just be in what ships—it will shape how we think about and build products over time. What You’ll Be Doing - Lead large, multi‑product initiatives from early discovery through delivery. - Frame ambiguous problems, align stakeholders, and chart a clear path forward. - Design scalable interaction models for complex B2B analytics tools. - Create cross‑product journeys that feel cohesive and intentional. - Partner with Product to define goals and success metrics; ensure design supports business outcomes. - Collaborate with Engineering to translate ideas cleanly into implementation and drive design QA. - Evolve the design system (patterns, tokens, documentation) to reduce duplication and increase velocity. - Facilitate thoughtful critiques and design discussions; mentor designers in craft and systems thinking. - Leverage AI‑enhanced workflows where they accelerate exploration, iteration, or polish. What You’ll Bring Required - 8–10+ years designing complex digital products, ideally in enterprise or B2B environments. - Portfolio demonstrating systems thinking, platform‑level design, and polished UI craft. - Deep expertise in interaction design, information architecture, and workflow design. - Expert proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud. - Experience evolving or governing design systems at scale. - Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to explain decisions and present confidently to senior stakeholders and executives. - Comfort operating in ambiguity; proven ability to build alignment across teams and land decisions. - Track record of delivering detail‑oriented, production‑ready design and partnering through build/QA. - Experience using research and product metrics to guide decisions and demonstrate impact. Nice to Have - Experience with data visualization and analytical interfaces. - Exposure to the automotive industry or automotive‑related digital products. - Familiarity with AI‑enhanced design workflows or modern prototyping accelerators. - Understanding of front‑end constraints (HTML/CSS/JS) to support implementation‑ready designs. - Background in B2B SaaS, enterprise tools, or platform ecosystems. - Experience shaping design operating principles (quality bars, critique norms, documentation) and supporting teams when priorities shift. From the Hiring Manager “I’m looking for someone who genuinely enjoys solving complex problems and helping others do their best work. You care about craft and systems equally, and you know design is about impact - on users, on the business, and on the team. If you’re excited by platform thinking, aligning partners in ambiguity, and elevating how product design operates across an organization, this role will be both challenging and rewarding.” This position has a starting salary range of $125,000 to $135,000 per year. This is the range we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for the role at the time of posting. An employee’s pay within the range is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, education, qualifications, experience, performance, business or organizational needs, and geographic location.
