The Sales Lead Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the MQL qualification process by managing inbound and outbound leads through a structured evaluation and engagement flow. This role focuses on assessing lead fit, conducting research, initiating outreach, and working closely with Sales to confirm when a lead is ready to be accepted as an MQL. The Sales Lead Coordinator combines prior sales development or inside sales experience with strong organization, research skills, and professional prospect conversations to help ensure leads are properly evaluated and progressed. Responsibilities Sales Lead Coordinator About the Role What You’ll Do Lead Intake & Initial Assessment - Review and assess new inbound and outbound leads using firmographic and persona information such as industry, company size, and job title. - Apply defined pass / hold / disqualify criteria to determine initial lead fit. - Route early‑stage or poor‑fit leads into appropriate nurture paths based on established guidelines. Lead Research & CRM Management - Conduct research on companies and contacts to understand business context and potential needs. - Document findings, signals, and interaction notes clearly in the CRM. - Maintain accurate, organized lead records to support ongoing assessment and follow‑up. - Monitor nurtured leads for changes or new activity and flag them for re‑engagement when appropriate. Outreach & Lead Engagement - Initiate outreach to new leads via email, phone, and LinkedIn using established sequences and messaging frameworks. - Personalize outreach using available lead and account insights. - Respond promptly to inbound interest and prospect questions. - Track outreach activity, responses, and outcomes accurately in the CRM. Secondary Scoring & Prioritization - Support secondary lead evaluation based on: - Fit (alignment to target accounts and personas), and - Engagement (responses, conversations, and observed interest). - Use scoring and prioritization guidance to determine appropriate next steps. - Route low‑engagement leads into nurture programs and monitor for renewed activity. MQL Evaluation & Sales Collaboration - Engage in conversations with prospects to help confirm key qualification details, including interest, timing, needs, and decision involvement. - Collaborate with Sales to determine when a lead meets MQL criteria. - Provide clear handoff notes and context to support smooth Sales follow‑up and next steps. Collaboration & Process - Follow defined lead ownership, follow‑up, and documentation processes. - Work closely with Marketing on lead sources, campaigns, and nurture programs. - Communicate clearly with Sales regarding lead status and readiness. - Share feedback on lead flow, outreach effectiveness, and common prospect questions. What We’re Looking For Required Qualifications - Previous experience in sales development, lead generation, inside sales, or a similar customer‑facing role - Experience engaging prospects via email and phone. - Familiarity with basic lead qualification concepts and CRM workflows. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - Comfortable initiating conversations with new contacts. Preferred Qualifications - Experience using Salesforce or a similar CRM. - Familiarity with tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, or comparable prospecting platforms. - Experience with sales outreach or sequencing tools. - Exposure to B2B technology, services, or solutions‑based selling environments.
