JOB FUNCTIONS - Conducts advanced on-site assessments of architectural and/or MEP building systems, visually evaluating condition, identifying deficiencies, and assessing risks. - Recognized as a fully qualified professional with solid experience and technical expertise in performing architectural/civil and/or mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) facility condition assessments. - Locates, evaluates, and reports on the current conditions of major building systems and components, providing professional recommendations for remaining service life and corrective actions. - Conducts inventory of building components for various building types and recommend repairs, replacements, and upgrades with sufficient detail to support cost estimates and lifecycle cost analyses. - Prepares and presents detailed assessment reports, including written narrative descriptions, prioritized recommendations, and findings, to senior leadership and external stakeholders. - Develops cost estimates for repairs, replacements, and upgrades based on assessment findings, and recommends corrective actions with sufficient detail to support budgeting and decision-making. - Ensures quality control for field surveys, data input, and report generation, utilizing assessment capital asset planning software and completing data forms in accordance with UNIFORMAT II classification standards. - Reviews and interprets drawings to support accurate data collection and analysis. - Stays current with industry standards, terminology, and best practices in MEP building trades and/or architectural/civil assessments. - Provides oversight of Assessment team and the teams data and processes - Recognizes and document issues related to applicable codes ensuring proper inclusion in field data collection. - Provides training and technical guidance to junior assessors, ensuring adherence to assessment standards and protocols. - Collaborates with clients and stakeholders to align assessment findings with organizational goals, budgets, and project priorities. - Communicates with the management team regarding project schedules, status updates, and findings. - Participates in client presentations to demonstrate findings, software capabilities, and recommendations.
