This description is a summary of our understanding of the job description. Click on 'Apply' button to find out more. Role Description Partnerships are a growth engine at BambooHR. As we scale across Marketplace, Referral, and Reseller channels, we need more than good operations — we need intentional strategy behind how our partner ecosystem runs. The Senior Manager, Partner Strategy & Experience owns the operational strategy for our partner programs. This leader defines how partners onboard, activate, generate revenue, and grow — then works cross-functionally with Partner Operations, Enablement, RevOps, Finance, Legal, and CX to bring that strategy to life. This role is both strategic and hands-on. You’ll design the path from partner acquisition to revenue, identify friction in the system, create scalable workflows, and continuously improve how we deliver value to partners. You won’t execute every operational task — but you will define what needs to happen, why it matters, and ensure the right teams are aligned to deliver it. You’ll manage a small team (2) and act as the connective tissue across all partner types — keeping the trains running on time while constantly finding ways to make the system faster, clearer, and better. You will: - Recruit, interview, hire, and train new staff. - Oversee the daily workflow of the department. - Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations. - Handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy. - Own the Operational Strategy for the Partner Ecosystem. - Define the end-to-end partner lifecycle across Marketplace, Referral, and Reseller programs. - Design the onboarding strategy — including how we shrink time-to-revenue and accelerate activation. - Create scalable workflows, use cases, and partner journeys that drive measurable growth. - Identify friction points and proactively redesign processes to improve speed, clarity, and partner experience. - Establish clear operational standards and success metrics across all partner types. - Accelerate Path to Revenue. - Evaluate handoffs from partner acquisition through onboarding, activation, and revenue realization. - Build activation frameworks that drive early wins and repeatable success. - Partner with RevOps and Finance to ensure we can measure leading indicators — not just lagging revenue. - Continuously test and refine how we reduce time-to-value for both BambooHR and our partners. - Align Enablement & Operations Around What Matters. - Translate partner strategy into clear requirements for Operations and Enablement teams. - Ensure onboarding programs, reporting structures, and systems align to the broader ecosystem vision. - Clarify ownership boundaries while maintaining strong collaboration. - Identify gaps in tooling, reporting, or process and drive cross-functional solutions. - Measure, Report, and Drive Growth. - Define and standardize KPIs across partner programs. - Ensure consistent reporting and forecasting across Marketplace, Referral, and Reseller channels. - Partner with Finance and RevOps to maintain data integrity and revenue visibility. - Use data to identify growth opportunities, underperformance, and program improvements. - Lead & Scale. - Manage and develop a team of two, setting clear priorities aligned to strategic goals. - Lead cross-functional initiatives and partner program launches. - Drive accountability, clarity, and continuous improvement across the partner experience. Qualifications - 5-7+ years in partner strategy, partner operations, program management, or leadership in SaaS or B2B. - Experience designing and scaling partner lifecycle strategy — not just executing against it. - Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority. - Strong analytical capability with experience building reporting frameworks and growth metrics. - Demonstrated success reducing time-to-revenue or improving speed-to-value in a partner or customer ecosystem. - Experience managing and developing high-performing team members. Requirements - A systems mindset — you see the full ecosystem, not just individual workflows. - A bias toward clarity and simplification. - Comfort operating in ambiguity while building structure. - Strong executive communication skills. - A collaborative, low-ego leadership style. - A drive to build the best partner program in the industry — not just maintain one. Benefits - Great Company Culture that has been recognized by multiple organizations like Inc and Salt Lake Tribune. - Comprehensive health, life, and disability insurance. - Generous leave policies that include 4 weeks of vacation, 12 company holidays, parental leave, and volunteer time off. - 401k plans with up to 6% company match. - $2000 Paid-Paid Vacation bonus. - EAP through Headspace.
