Job Description

Data Visualization Analyst

Appspace

• Design intuitive, interactive, and impactful Tableau dashboards that provide stakeholders with actionable insights and track key performance indicators (KPIs) • Partner with cross-departmental stakeholders to deeply understand business requirements and translate them into visual analytics solutions that inform strategic decisions • Update, improve, and troubleshoot existing Tableau dashboards based on user feedback and evolving business needs • Lead the strategic migration of legacy Google Sheets reporting into Tableau • Analyze data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies • Ensure rigorous data validation and QA processes to guarantee accuracy and reliability • Work with the Data Analytics Architect to develop performant, scalable dashboards • Manage users, permissions, and folder structures within Tableau Cloud • Identify and implement process, data, and reporting improvements across the organization • Provide end-user training and ongoing support to help stakeholders interpret visualizations and drive informed decisions

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience focusing on Tableau and proficiency in building complex, easy-to-interpret dashboards
  • Experience with LOD expressions, Parameter/Set Actions, and bespoke visualizations (e.g., Sankey diagrams, Gauges, custom maps)
  • Data Modelling within Tableau using joins and relationships
  • Data Modelling within SQL using joins
  • Proven track record of delivering end-to-end dashboard solutions, from requirements gathering to deployment
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and database structures
  • Proficiency in writing SQL queries
  • Expert knowledge of VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and SUMIFS
  • Excellent written and verbal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Ability to present a portfolio of previous Tableau work during the interview
