With a mix of field engagement, remote support, and educational leadership, this position offers an opportunity to make a direct impact on patient outcomes and professional development across a national network. - Provide advanced intraoperative and perioperative support during complex or first-time cochlear implant surgeries, including escalated cases requiring specialized expertise. - Serve as a surgical technology consultant during live surgeries, cadaver labs, symposia, and individualized training programs. - Deliver remote on-call support to surgical teams, offering real-time troubleshooting and clinical guidance. - Lead and support national and regional surgical education initiatives, including workshops, demonstrations, and peer-to-peer learning programs. - Train and mentor field staff and new Surgical Specialists on surgical techniques, product handling, and problem-solving. - Maintain expert-level knowledge of product technology, anatomy, surgical techniques, and competitive landscape to inform strategy and elevate clinical practice. - Contribute to operational and clinical improvement efforts through advanced troubleshooting, anatomical understanding, and best-practice surgical guidance. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s or Doctoral degree in a medical or audiology-related field preferred. - Minimum 5 years of surgical sales, support, or training experience, ideally in medical devices. - Experience supporting cochlear implant surgeries strongly preferred. - Knowledge of operating room etiquette, sterile fields, and sterile techniques. - Familiarity with objective measures of hearing and cochlear implant function is a plus. - Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and organizational skills. - Ability to influence decisions without formal authority and adapt to rapidly changing environments. - English fluency required; Spanish and/or French fluency preferred. - Strong computer skills, including MS Office and Salesforce. - Reliable internet connectivity to support remote and hybrid responsibilities. This role focuses on follow-up medication management, cognitive assessments, and development of initial care coordination plans for older adults.
