Role Description We are seeking friendly, detail-oriented Medical Schedulers to join our call center team supporting a busy medical center. This role involves handling incoming calls, scheduling patient appointments, and ensuring smooth communication between patients and providers. The ideal candidate is comfortable on the phone, has strong organizational skills, and can quickly learn our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. - Answer incoming calls on the medical center switchboard and route calls to the appropriate departments or providers. - Schedule patient appointments using the EMR system, checking provider availability and updating schedules as needed. - Return messages from voicemail promptly or forward them to the correct team member. - Provide excellent phone-based customer service, ensuring patients feel heard and assisted. - Maintain accurate records and update patient information in the EMR system as required. - Assist with other administrative tasks as assigned by management. Qualifications - Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written. - Friendly, professional, and patient-focused phone demeanor. - Ability to quickly learn new software systems, including EMR platforms. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Availability to work during Chicago (Central Time) hours, roughly 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM. Requirements - Previous experience in medical scheduling, healthcare administration, or a call center environment. - Familiarity with EMR systems (training will be provided). Team Setup - Initially, 4 Medical Schedulers will be hired. - Each employee will work an 8-hour shift within the specified work hours.
