• Set strategy, develop, lead, and oversee global data management department. • Develop and track metrics on productivity and quality, and create strategies and best practices. • Hire, supervise, and mentor data management leaders to effectively manage projects and staff. • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and other departmental processes and procedures in accordance with guidelines and regulations to ensure quality deliverables. • Provide strategic input to business development activities, such as capabilities/bid defense presentations and Requests for Proposals (RFP’s). • Provide strategic input to technology for current and future state. • Develop study-specific bids that demonstrate an understanding of each client’s needs in a creative, innovative, efficient, and effective manner. • Oversee operational execution of data management activities within the scope of the contract. • Maintain an awareness of project issues and support teams as needed to maintain a positive relationship with clients. • Act as a point of escalation as needed. • Provide financial oversight for the Data Management department. • Develop and track metrics on productivity and quality, and create strategies and best practices. • Develop and oversee departmental staff (activities to include interviewing, terminations, promotions, training, personnel growth and retention plans, performance appraisals, goal setting, and salary adjustments). • Supervise and mentor reporting staff in tasks and activities to develop the team structure and enhance departmental and project performance. • Represent the department and company in a multi-disciplinary setting, including project team meetings, client meetings/presentations, bid defense meetings, and be on the podium at industry events. • Review and approve non-billable travel requests for the data management team and maintain department utilization. • Act as a data champion within the company.
Job Requirements
- A minimum of 15+ years of relevant work experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant leadership experience in a Clinical Research Organization with extensive exposure in business development and management activities.
- Strong working knowledge of the drug development process, ICH GCP guidelines, and FDA and/or international regulations and their application to clinical trials.
- Data management acumen and industry awareness.
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and resource management.
- Strong computer skills and working knowledge of a wide range of computer applications.

POSITION PURPOSE The Service Area 1 Vice President of Managed Care is responsible for payer contracting for the service area consisting of several Regional Health Ministries (RHM) across Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Idaho, Oregon and California. This includes fee-for-service contracts and Alternative Payment Models (APM) based on quality and the total cost of care. Additional responsibilities include implementation of strategies to move Trinity Health into APMs in support of the Triple Aim. The VP of Managed Care understands the dynamics of both APM as well as the underlying cost structures that support the delivery of care within a healthcare system. The VP of Managed Care manages the full negotiation cycle from assessment and identification of value creation opportunities through implementation of the contract; provides leadership support for the RHMs within the region; negotiates and manages complex and innovative payer contracts; coaches team on advanced negotiation methods for APM contracting, such as risk-based contract and strives to maintain competitive reimbursement rates for the RHMs within the region. • Strategic direction: the RVP will work with the CDs and any regional staff to take Edify’s overall mission and strategy and prayerfully oversee the development of a clear approach for the region in line with Edify’s overall strategy, and then to lead the implementation of that approach. The RVP is responsible to ensure that the progress towards strategic milestones are tracked, recognised and celebrated- giving thanks to God as the region progresses. The RVP is responsible for scanning the contexts and to lead on any shift in response to changes around them. The RVP is also to take the context and perspective from the region and input that into the global strategy and all global initiatives. • Leadership of the region: the RVP provides leadership and support to the CDs of each of the Operational countries as well as to any regional technical support in creating change in the areas laid out in the Outcomes Map. The RVP will work closely with the CDs to prayerfully set Spirit-led targets and work with the direct reports to strive towards those targets, allowing ‘God space’ that might change the final result. Ensuring that the countries deliver across all the performance metrics, monitoring these closely with the CDs. Ensure that there is consistency across the region where possible, adapting to context within each country, and ensure that learning and progress is discussed and shared within the region and also to other regions. • Budget Oversight: oversee the budgeting and spend of the region (including capital to Financial Institutions), and manage the regional budget. Seek for opportunities to share and learn across countries and regions from the work that is happening with partners in each individual country. • Understanding of Country Context: develop and maintain a good understanding of the contexts faced by CCE in each country in the region, including understanding of the country's educational environment and the needs and resources to low-cost, independent Christ-centered schools; the legislations issues, banking and audit requirements.
