In this role you will provide remote Over the Phone Interpreting (OPI) services to our local, state and federal government clients. JOB DESCRIPTION: Ideal candidates shall be able to provide: - Experience with consecutive or simultaneous over the phone (OPI) interpretation between a government representative and non-English speakers. - Polite forms of expression, enunciation, and a high-level of customer service. - Deliver correct concepts and meanings between speaker and the Limited English Proficient (LEP) speaker. - Correct grammar, clarity and tones between the two languages. - Experience with following the speakers’ direction, professionally interject when clarification is needed, and manage the flow of a conversation. - Refrain from side conversations with the LEP and entering into any disagreement with the customer or LEP. - Compliance with applicable ethics and standards. - Experience interpreting for local, state and/or federal government offices. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS - Applicants must meet ALL of the following to be considered: - Experience: At least one (1) year of OPI consecutive or simultaneous interpreting experience - References: Two (2) professional references who can vouch for your work as an over the phone consecutive or simultaneous interpreter - Resume: The resume/CV you submit must outline your professional interpretation experience. Resumes without this information will result in disqualification. - Minimum Age: 18+ years - Minimum Education: High School Diploma - Location: Reside in the United States or a U.S. territory - Fluency: Full fluency in English and native or near-native proficiency in the target language - Accreditations: Able to provide at least one of the following accreditations: - American Translation Association (ATA) - Trained or accredited through a higher education institution SECURITY REQUIREMENTS: Applicants may be subject to a federal background check. DESIRED SKILLS: - Experience providing interpretation services to federal government offices such as the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and their agencies, e.g. USCIS, CBP, FEMA, etc.

JOB OVERVIEW Working on Linguistic Validation projects, you are responsible for ensuring translations of Clinical Outcome Assessments are linguistically and culturally accurate. You possess fluency in two or more languages and have outstanding problem-solving skills that allow you to research industry-specific terminology. These projects require linguists with a strong commitment to accuracy; you will play a key role in the effectiveness and success of IQVIA™ Translation Services operations. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS • Be a strategic partner in delivering on-time and quality translations • Carefully adhere to provided material and instructions to meet the requirements of the clients • Research industry-specific terminology to properly reflect the meaning and tone of the source content • Cross-reference specialized glossaries and translation tools to check the quality of the translation • Quality Check translation jobs before delivery for grammar, spelling and punctuation accuracy • Work with the IQVIA™ Translation Services team to identify gaps in instructions or any external issue that may affect the commitment to the client. • Flag project-specific queries in a timely manner • Maintain close communication with Project Management and Vendor Management teams with regards to own capacity REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE - Native in the target language - Fluency in source language(s) – spoken and written - Ability to work according to tight deadlines, as well as independently Preferred Skills and Requirements - Translation experience with clinical outcome assessments. - Prior experience performing any services within Linguistic Validation: dual forward translation, reconciliation, back translation. • Translate and localise product information, including detailed descriptions of materials, fabric compositions, and size & fit elements, ensuring clarity and accuracy for local audiences. • Localise and adapt FARFETCH’s product catalogue and associated content, tailoring the language to meet the cultural nuances and preferences of the target audience. • Ensure projects are delivered on time and meet the highest quality standards. • Maintain translation memories and terminology databases, ensuring consistency across all translated materials and optimising reuse of existing translations. • Ensure consistency in language and tone of voice across product descriptions. • Utilise and contribute to the development of cutting-edge localisation tools and technology to streamline processes and improve accuracy.
