Technical Director – Wastewater Treatment We are seeking a skilled, experienced Technical Director to join our Operations and Maintenance Services team supporting a diverse array of treatment facilities across the southeastern US. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in wastewater treatment, with a proven track record of providing operational and regulatory compliance expertise to wastewater treatment facilities. This role is critical to helping to ensure the stability, efficiency, and compliance of wastewater treatment systems under our care.  The position is location independent within the southeast US / Gulf states, with an average expectation of 50% travel (typically 8-10 nights/month). RESPONSIBILITIES: - Technical Expertise: Provide expert guidance across our portfolio of facilities on the operation of wastewater treatment plants, including troubleshooting, process control and optimization, and regulatory compliance. - Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with facility-based operational staff, regulatory agencies, company leadership and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with plant performance goals and regulatory requirements. - Quality Assurance: Support the company’s QA programs to ensure the highest standards of service delivery and compliance with all relevant regulations. - Innovation and Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of operations and maintenance activities. QUALIFICATIONS: - Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in a STEM related field required. Course work in data science/statistical methods is a plus. - Minimum of 10 years of experience in wastewater treatment operations, treatment process troubleshooting and/or regulatory roles.  Plant supervisory experience and/or operational licensure is a plus. - Strong knowledge of CWA requirements and industry standards for wastewater treatment facility performance. - Experience in project or initiative management, including planning, execution, budgeting or costing, and stakeholder management. - Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders. The Asset Engineer III/Senior responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Develop production forecasts in ComboCurve to support monthly forecasting cycles. - Perform production surveillance to identify and remedy performance issues to maximize well EURs - Lead the development of standardized workflows to evaluate new production methods that enhance well performance. - Develop analytical, economic, and process models that integrate production, pressure, and midstream constraints to support repeatable decision-making. - Oversee evaluations of departmental processes to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and consistency. - Provide engineering support to EQT’s Production, Midstream, and Commercial teams for production enhancement, flow assurance, and market optimization opportunities. - Support development planning through a deep understanding of gathering system hydraulics and the impacts on forecasting and well performance. - Evaluate well proposals, workovers, lease acquisition, and A&D opportunities to ensure projects are accretive. - Lead project planning meetings with a cross-functional team and present project results to management. - Leverage coding and data visualization tools to deliver clear, decision-ready insights to stakeholders. Required Experience and Skills: - Bachelor’s degree in chemical, civil, electrical, mechanical, or petroleum engineering. - 5+ years of relevant industry experience in asset development, reservoir, production engineering, or related roles - Advanced ComboCurve user with experience supporting forecasting, reserves, or deal evaluation workflows. - Proven experience developing production forecasts, performing surveillance, and supporting development planning decisions. - Strong understanding of project economics, with experience developing models to evaluate upstream and midstream development decisions. - Proficiency in Power BI or Spotfire. - Working knowledge of R, SQL, and/or Python. - Experience integrating production, pressure, and midstream constraints into engineering or economic evaluations. - Operational exposure in Production, Midstream, Completions, or Facilities Engineering preferred. - Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and deliver recommendations to stakeholders and management. - Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical documentation and executive-level summaries. Remote work is being considered for this role excluding the following states: California, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, and Tennessee unless willing to relocate.
