Job Description
Senior Product Manager – Advertising
Spotify
• Define and own the end-to-end strategy and roadmap for Ads Privacy, including scalable implementations of new and existing global privacy policies, age appropriate design frameworks and global industry and safety standards. • Navigate the intersection of user privacy and performance, translating regulatory shifts into clear, data-driven insights and recommendations that help leadership balance compliance with sustainable business growth. • Establish a scalable user consent and choice platform that is principled and observable. • Shape our ads ML and AI strategy in accordance with emerging regulations and internal data governance standards. • Act as the primary Ads Privacy PM interface across Legal, Privacy Engineering, and other Product teams throughout Spotify, as well as external vendors and partners. • Create a healthy, productive environment on your squad through honesty, accountability, empathy, and inclusivity.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building complex products in ad tech, privacy, or data platforms, with a track record of delivering scalable, high-impact solutions.
- You think in systems, not just features — you can design durable privacy foundations that scale with product complexity rather than simply checking boxes.
- You balance technical rigor with business impact, prioritizing investments that improve data integrity, user trust, and long-term revenue sustainability — and you know how to quantify the trade-off when the two pull in opposite directions.
- You have a working understanding of the advertising ecosystem and are familiar with Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework, CCPA/CPRA, GDPR and DSA.
- You are a master communicator — capable of acting as the translator between Legal, Engineering, and Ad Sales, and comfortable presenting to senior leadership with clarity and conviction.
- You are comfortable operating in ambiguity, staying ahead of platform shifts and regulatory changes months before they become requirements.
- You leverage AI tools to augment product discovery, technical reasoning, and communication, with discernment about when to rely on automation vs. deeper domain expertise.
Benefits
- health insurance
- six month paid parental leave
- 401(k) retirement plan
