Frontend Engineer II

• Design, architect and implement the front-end experience for our eCommerce and sales tool applications in collaboration with product management and designers. • Follow best practices for testing front-end applications, including unit, integration and end-to-end testing • Review code to ensure technical implementation meets functional requirements • Ship code that has a massive impact on the growth of Toast and its customers. • Leverage cutting edge AI tools to enhance your development workflow, improve velocity, and help pioneer new approaches to building - contributing to a culture of innovation and productivity across the team.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience building and scaling frontend applications
  • Proficiency in React, JavaScript/TypeScript and related front end tools
  • Strong understanding of eCommerce specific challenges such as pricing, promotions, product bundling, checkout optimizations and user personalization
  • Experience with testing frameworks, writing unit and integration tests and believing in automation to maintain software quality
  • Know how to prioritize technical requirements and design needs
  • Growth mindset with an emphasis on learning and self/team-improvement
  • Passionate about the restaurant industry
  • Enjoy working in a team environment with a shared code-base
