The program will be highly collaborative and immersive, with interns working on real business problems that can span multiple business units within the complex insurance landscape. As a Data Science Intern you will support analytical projects on identifying business opportunities, answering business questions and developing business solutions. But it won’t be all work! Mercury executives will host virtual lunch-and-learns with a small group of interns to discuss career aspirations, interns will get to meet Mercury people leaders and team members throughout the organization, and there will be a multitude of virtual social events. Responsibilities Job Function Interns will work with their managers and fellow interns within an interactive Agile framework that includes daily stand-ups and weekly tactical problem-solving sessions. Interns will also attend the broader meetings within their respective functions to help further contextualize their work. Over the course of the summer, interns will ultimately build a minimum viable product (MVP) and have a “capstone” opportunity to present those findings to the Mercury leadership team. • Translate complex data science findings into clear, actionable narratives for the CEO, C-suite, and Board of Directors. • Serve as the company's chief statistical voice and the final quality backstop for analytical rigor in high-stakes executive decisions. • Raise the communication bar across the entire Data Science organization by setting standards, coaching teams, and co-authoring key executive-facing deliverables. • Produce deep strategic analyses on revenue, platform health, operational efficiency, and competitive positioning. • Partner with engineering VPs, product leaders, and executive staff to embed a data-driven decision-making culture across the company. • Represent Databricks externally as a data science thought leader at industry conferences and publications. • Define and evolve company-wide scientific methodologies.

Ensono’s paid internship is a 12-week program that runs from May 18th to August 7th, 2026 and could lead to a part-time or full-time position within Ensono. Our summer internship is the entry point into our 12-month rotational program. The program aims to create a pathway to full-time employment and develop well-rounded junior associates with great potential. Each summer we choose two interns to join Ensono full-time and gain experience in different departments over 3-month rotations.
