Program Managers are responsible for oversight at the project portfolio level, managing shared resources and finances to make sure each project/projects are progressing safely, on time, and within budget. Focus on successfully leading Project Management team within highly complex distribution planning, implementations and customer turnover. Exceptional technical and project leadership in the areas of complex Material Handling Systems (MHS), Control Systems and Warehouse Management. Accountable for the successful conclusion of the project/projects by providing leadership, strategically managing risk, monitoring finances and making sure that each phase of the project starts and ends on schedule. Responsible for leading a team of project managers driving the strategic and operational plans for the project/projects they’re overseeing. Monitor and report on project milestones, such as financial and programmatic metrics on a weekly/monthly cadence to Sr & Executive Leadership. Owns keeping the internal and external stakeholders updated on progress and any deviations from the plans as well as project risks. The Project Director works closely with the project managers for their project/projects and drive safety, planning, scope/change mgmt., financial accountability, and risk mitigation as a primary focus. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: • Lead sophisticated distribution center improvements and spear the deployment of extra-large complex project/projects with $100M+ project financials. • Provides strategic leadership and technical, operational, financial and managerial leadership for successful implementation of projects. • Makes sure projects are aligned with overall strategic goals and objectives of the organization and, if not, revises plan to make them so. • Oversees all project implementation related to project management, including monitoring and reporting, financials transactions, execution of project plans and performance. • Maintain alignment across KPI Solutions and client project leaders, stakeholders, and executive sponsors. • Define workflows, jobs, and reporting relationships of a project team. • Mitigate safety, scope, schedule, and cost risks both internally and with clients. • Lead the development of project budgets and business plans for all project functional areas. • Exhibit expert level leadership skills demonstrated by developing and implementing project organizational goals and objectives. • Apply superior understanding of Project Management concepts, processes, and trends in the design and implementation of solutions. • Understand specific capabilities within complex material handling systems and leverage advanced knowledge to assist with design and implementation efforts. • Accountable for project/projects compliance to KPI project governance, reporting, and tools in the delivery of projects. • Drive innovation related to the conceptualization of new as well as improved tools, templates, and methodologies. • Collaborate in an environment where robust learning objectives are set to align training, coaching, and experience to assure critical competencies, skills, and knowledge are developed. • Provide leadership as a Resource Manager as business needs require. • Delegate project tasks based on junior staff members' individual strengths, skill sets, and experience levels.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 15+ years of work experience in one of the following disciplines: industrial, mechanical or civil engineering, business or construction management. Have clear background in project execution implementing Material Handling Systems and software applications in highly automated Supply Chain facilities.
  • Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification.
  • Strong ability to develop and manage budgets across multiple projects, workstreams, and programs.
  • Superior client management and project leadership skills.
  • Proficient understanding of PM software, Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and SharePoint.
  • Leads by example through developing broad project leadership that effectively assigns responsibilities and sets clear expectations.
  • Strong understanding of distribution center operations and automation.
  • Exceptional time management competencies.
  • Presentation development and delivery skills.
