Legence has identified the need for a Sr. Manager, Technology Solution Partner – Engineering Project Operations. The position could be based in the following geographies: - Remote, US Overview: This is not an IT project/program management role. The Technology Solution Partner will collaborate with engineering business units on the prioritization and execution of capability development initiatives to realize business objectives. The area of functional expertise for this role is engineering project operations. Examples of functional expertise that will be beneficial in this role include project entry, work breakdown structure, project operations and billing. You will be working with our Enterprise systems, applications, and tools to define a technology plan for Engineering and Architecture businesses within Legence. You will bridge the gap between the internal customer’s business requirements and the systems, tools, and applications in our landscape. You will consult, collaborate, and advise our internal customers on how to best use existing and planned solutions in relation to their business requirements and/or operational improvement needs. This role demands advanced analytical thinking, problem-solving and communication skills. The role will communicate with a diverse set of stakeholders (employees and management) and partners in a manner that breaks down complex challenges into actionable steps that drive results. This individual leads as a team player who can build trust and establish strong working relationships. Responsibilities: - Manage the vision of use and guide prioritization of features/functions of systems/tools against business needs, technology imperatives, and industry standards. - Document use cases, business requirements, and functional design for system improvements working with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, and the engineering teams. - Specify and maintain requirements artifacts including Context Diagrams, Process and Workflow Diagrams, Data Flow Diagrams, Use Case Models, Product Comparisons, and Use Case Specifications. - Conduct research to decide whether solutions to business/technical requirements currently exist within or outside the business unit, and if not, whether new innovative solutions are possible. - Manage the training solution delivery model, which may include providing training to users on new functionality, giving refresher courses on existing functionality, and creating/updating training materials. - Oversee testing of new functionality as part of User Acceptance Testing including test plan/build collaboration and educating business users on high quality testing practice. - Provide critical thinking and facilitate the discussions needed to drive outcomes and results. - Meet project goals by serving as cross-work stream SME and escalation point. - Responsible for owning follow ups and closing gaps related to overall project approach, design issues, project execution tasks, and issues; take ownership of assigned gaps and work with the team to resolve and present findings. - Become part of a team of individuals who are committed to providing excellent customer service. - Rolling up your sleeves and digging in; seeking to understand customer business requirements and creatively translating them to system requirements. - Acting as a subject matter expert and sharing your expertise with your colleagues and customers. - Developing solution concepts, optimizing and implementing end-to-end processes and functionalities based on best practice approaches. - Responsible for identifying opportunities to enhance systems and processes, allowing customers to solve problems or improve effectiveness of job area. - Good at guiding our customers in how to best use the applications in relation to their business requirements. - Confident in designing solutions, challenge and advise customers, and deliver on expectation thus ensuring success for both parties. - Triggered by the contrast of understanding the business goals and end-to-end processes, as well as digging down in details to achieve the best possible solution. - The ideal candidate is profoundly interested in how systems can support business processes and operations. Qualifications: - BA/BS, preferably in a technology-related or business field. - A minimum of 10 years of in-depth knowledge of the processes and automation in application management and/or implementation. - Adhere to change control processes to ensure SOX compliance and work with auditors on requests in providing documentation and system demonstrations of control configurations - 5+ years of experience with Deltek Vision and Vantagepoint products - Experience in ancillary applications like Procore, Big Time and Salesforce - Superior verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse groups of global stakeholders—both technical and business users - Excellent interpersonal skills and a high degree of social intelligence - Advanced analytical thinking and problem-solving skills - Experience with automation, AI and data driven learning - Experience with PowerBI and Data Warehouse report modeling - Knowledge of Agile/SCRUM methodology - Proven ability to - Lead complex projects and run multi-departmental project teams with minimum supervision - Drive complicated system issues to closure while ensuring stakeholder satisfaction - Listen to business needs and partner to create agreeable solutions together - Translate business requests into organized, clear, and concise business requirements for engineering execution - Document workflows and processes - Query, analyze, and interpret data and functionality problems in complex computer systems Candidate should expect periodic (estimated at 15-20%) travel to various locations to meet with stakeholders. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be the annual range listed below.
