Job Description

Director, Business Development – Program Management

Life360

• Assist in building and scaling a high-performing business development function. Collaborate with key stakeholders to design and roll out the internal processes, playbooks, service levels, templates, systems, etc., to assess, negotiate, close, track, and manage the performance of Life360 partnerships. • Partner with BD Leads and key stakeholders to scope and assess incoming partner opportunities, including business cases, prioritization frameworks, and performance targets. • Lead the program management of complex deals from mid-stage negotiation through to final closing – ensuring the right stakeholders are in the room, decision-making is streamlined, and key risks are identified and mitigated. • Act as the primary lead for post-deal (non-technical) integration, alongside the BD Leads and the Technical Program Manager. Assist in translating contractual milestones into actionable workstreams to ensure teams are resourced and timelines are met. Conduct regular partnership reviews, including performance assessments at both a partner and program level. • Design, roll out, and scale our Partner Program in collaboration with key stakeholders – accelerating Life360’s value proposition to both users and partners.

Job Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Business Development Program Management and/or Operations. Experience in Technical Program Management and/or Product Management is also valued. Vertical focus within a high-growth consumer tech/mobile or hardware/software ecosystem is preferred.
  • The "Hybrid" Skillset: You have a proven track record of managing complex projects that involve technical integrations, product roadmaps, and external partner management.
  • Process Architect: You don't just follow playbooks; you build them. You have experience creating operational frameworks from scratch that improve efficiency and cross-functional harmony.
  • Technical Fluency: You are comfortable speaking with engineers, designers, and technical program managers about APIs, SDKs, and UI flows, can recognize risks, and can translate those technical needs into business impact for stakeholders.
  • Strategic Executioner: You can zoom out to see the 30,000-foot strategic goal and also zoom in to manage the granular milestones of a contract.
  • High Influence, Low Ego: You are an expert at leading through influence, navigating ambiguity, and bringing disparate teams together to achieve a common goal.
