Role Description Western Agency is seeking motivated and self-starting individuals who excel in an independent environment. Work location: This is a full-time, fully remote position supporting our office located in Minot, ND. Professional Responsibilities - Assisting producers in selling new policies and management of renewals - Service existing accounts: - Bills, changes, claims, quoting, application, work with underwriters, review/renew coverages for existing accounts. - Policy analysis. - Quoting all lines. - Submission of applications to companies. - Submissions of claims to companies. - Input of all data in agency database. - Certificates of insurance and binders of insurance. - Schedule presentations, delivery, and renewal appointments for producers. - Answering a variety of customer & coverage questions. - Responding to underwriter inquiries. - Building effective underwriter & customer relationships. - Continually read and advance your knowledge of the business. - Other duties as assigned. Qualifications - A Bachelor of Science Degree in a business-related field is preferred. - 3+ years of relevant work experience in the insurance industry, with a focus on account management, risk management, and/or production/sales. - An active P&C Insurance license. - Prior experience in agricultural or farm insurance required. - Demonstrated experience managing farm insurance accounts with operations that average 2,000+ acres. - Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) certificate is also preferred. - Prior insurance sales and leadership experience working with top-tier clientele and large clients. - Strong understanding of risk management principles. - Experience in building and maintaining strong client relationships, understanding clients' unique needs, and providing customized insurance solutions. - Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office Suite tools. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral). - Strong organizational skills and project management abilities. - Ability to analyze complex scenarios and develop solutions for clients. - Ability to travel to client locations as needed (minimal). - Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now and in future.
