Role Description This position's work location is remote, with occasional time onsite as needed. The selected candidate may only work remotely from a New England state (ME, VT, NH, MA, CT, RI). The Research Compliance Associate I, COI supports the Institute’s robust research conflicts of interest and industry interactions program. This work advances and preserves the integrity of the academic mission of the Institute by facilitating beneficial collaborations with industry while ensuring compliance with sponsor regulations and institutional policies. - Contribute to the work team undertaking the review and management of faculty, research staff, and institutional outside relationships related to research. - Learn to use professional concepts to identify conflicts of interest. - Provide advice to faculty and scientists on policies. - Identify issues for review by the Faculty Conflict of Interest Committee. - Contribute to education and training projects. - Under direction of the Program Manager, intake and review financial disclosures and outside activity agreements from faculty and research scientists. - Participate in the administration, testing, updating, and operation of the online conflict of interest disclosure system and database. - Provide administrative support to the DFCI Faculty Conflict of Interest Committee. - Contribute to the identification and review of institutional interests that may pose conflicts of interest. - Perform compliance review of faculty and research staff outside activity agreements. - Answer routine questions via email or phone regarding conflict of interest policies and processes. - Contribute to risk assessment, auditing, and monitoring activities. - Participate in the design and delivery of training and website content relating to research conflicts of interest. - Acquire an in-depth understanding of policies and regulations regarding research conflicts of interest. - Enhance professional growth and development by participating in educational programs and workshops. - Support other research integrity and compliance team members during peak times of activity. - Comply with office practices that support the efficient operation and documentation of the research conflicts of interest program. - Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Summary The Credentialing Specialist for Facilities ensures that the health plan’s provider network includes facilities that meet regulatory standards. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring compliance, safeguarding member safety, and minimizing liability for the company. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Credentialing Review & Evaluation: Evaluate facility credentialing applications for accuracy and completeness based on specialty requirements. Obtain the necessary verifications and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Communication: Engage with facilities to clarify credentialing-related questions and obtain missing information to complete their application.
