About the Role The Case Manager is responsible for a docket of cases that need to be moved through different milestones of the client’s case development journey. The analyst will be cross-trained in all areas of case management: Intake Qualification, Medical Record Retrieval Coordination, Medical Record Review, Plaintiff Form Fulfillment, Client Engagement, Quality Assurance, and Post Settlement Coordination. What You’ll Do - Gather and interpret data to develop actionable next steps to optimize best-case results. - Undertake a diverse range of quality assurance tasks, each assigned based on the case's status (Intake, Onboarding, Medical Record Retrieval, Medical Record Review, and Plaintiff Form Fulfillment). - Responsible for inbound and outbound communication (calls/emails/texts) with clients to obtain case-related details, confirm information, complete documentation/questionnaires, and provide case and settlement status updates. - Empathetic and concise when communicating with clients. Having patience and leading with empathy is a requirement. - Responsible for managing assigned cases. - Responsible for managing priorities to help meet and maintain production goals and SLAs. - Responsible for maintaining quality guidelines. - Ensure all assigned cases maintain accurate and up-to-date information and details. - Conduct audits and reviews of client files to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to standards. - Maintain knowledge on the torts in which we are supporting. - Overtime may be required during periods of high workload. - Perform other duties assigned by management. Skills & Abilities - Strong interpersonal skills capable of maintaining strong relationships - Outstanding written and verbal communication skills - Detail-oriented and excellent multitasking skills - Strong organizational abilities - Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment - Strong analytical skills - Problem-solving skills - Comfortable operating in a process-driven environment - Previous experience handling heavy call volumes with tact and empathy - Able to remain calm under pressure - Ability to learn and adapt to change quickly - Ability to work independently and as a team player - Strong computer skills, including Salesforce, Google Sheets, Microsoft Office What You Bring - Bachelor's Degree or similar experience - 1+ years of experience in the mass tort industry and/or a similar role - 1+ years of legal knowledge/ case management - 1+ years in customer service - 1+ years of previous experience handling heavy call volumes with tact and empathy Physical Requirements - Frequent need for oral, written, and auditory communication. - Ability to sit for long periods of time. - Prolonged periods working on a computer. - Frequent repetitive hand and wrist motions. - Occasional need to lift at least 20 pounds. Role Description Remote Clinician position that partners with primary care, pediatric, and other specialty clinics within Advocate Health to provide mental health support to Patients experiencing a broad range of psychiatric diagnosis. The psychotherapist will complete brief, solution-focused interventions with Patients via telephone or video visit from a remote setting. Position requires long hours of sitting in front of a desktop computer, requires flexibility in navigating schedules with Patients, multitasking multiple virtual platforms, and ability to work with an interdisciplinary team. The position also requires candidates to initiate the licensure application process in North Carolina within 90 days of hire if licensure is not already acquired. Physical Requirements - Requires extensive walking throughout the facility. - Prolonged periods of sitting reviewing medical records and completing documentation. - Repetitive wrist motion and occasional lifting of 10-20 pounds. - Requires verbal and written communication in English. - Intact sight and hearing with or without assistive devices is required. Qualifications - Master's Degree in a relevant human services field such as Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited school of graduate education required. - Must be issued an associate licensure and/or certification from the appropriate governing board in the state in which one works within 6 months of employment. - Successful completion of CPI and CPR training required within 90 days of hire. - Clinical experience preferred. - Case management experience with the Serious and Persistent Mental Illness population and/or experience working with substance abuse preferred. - Must have good therapeutic communication skills.
