Role Description We're seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to support the design, development, and launch of an internal SharePoint site for Avalon. This role is ideal for someone interested in digital collaboration tools, user experience, and internal communications. You'll work cross-functionally with the marketing, human resources, growth, and leadership teams to organize resources, design a user-friendly structure, and support knowledge sharing across the business. This position is eligible for remote work, but quarterly travel will be required to Avalon's corporate office located in Tampa, Florida. Essential Functions and Responsibilities - Work with stakeholders to gather requirements for the internal SharePoint site - Design site architecture, layout, and navigation with a focus on usability - Build site pages, libraries, lists, and workflows using SharePoint Online - Migrate existing documents and resources into the SharePoint environment - Apply branding and templates to ensure a consistent look and feel - Create training materials or quick guides for employees on how to use the site - Test functionality and gather feedback for improvement - Document site structure and configurations for future maintenance Qualifications - Current student or recent graduate in IT, Information Systems, Communications, or a related field - Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools, especially SharePoint Online - Basic understanding of site design, information architecture, and document management - Strong communication and collaboration skills - Detail-oriented with a willingness to learn and take initiative Preferred Qualifications - Experience with Power Automate, Teams, or Microsoft Lists - Design sense or UX/UI interest - Previous work on a digital knowledge base or intranet project What You'll Gain - Hands-on experience in SharePoint site development and digital workplace design - Exposure to internal communications and cross-departmental collaboration - Opportunities to present your work and receive mentorship from IT and operations teams - A strong portfolio project that makes a real impact on company communication
