Systems Administrator Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled System Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our On-Prem and Cloud IT infrastructure, ensuring system reliability, security, and performance. This role involves handling level 2 service requests, providing technical support, and collaborating with other IT teams to deliver high-quality solutions. Key Responsibilities: • Respond to and resolve level 2 incidents and requests in a timely manner. • Administer and maintain VMware virtualization environments, including ESXi hosts and vCenter. • Manage Windows and/or Linux servers, including installation, configuration, patching, and troubleshooting. • Monitor system performance and proactively address potential issues. • Maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions. • Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices. • Maintain network, storage, and business applications. • Document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps. • Drive and adopt automation first mindset to optimize mundane repetitive tasks. Required Qualifications: • 5+ years of experience in system administration or similar role. • Strong knowledge of VMware virtualization technologies. • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure concepts and objects. • Proficiency in Windows Server and/or Linux administration. • Proficiency with Cisco Meraki and other Cisco switches and appliances. • Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy. • Experience managing Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory) for identity and access management. • Familiarity with infrastructure and cloud automation tools like Ansible. • Familiarity with ITIL processes for incident and request management. • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication and documentation abilities. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with scripting (PowerShell, Bash) for automation. • Knowledge of backup solutions and disaster recovery planning. • Familiarity with Dynamics 365 (D365) is a plus. • Familiarity with FreshWorks ITSM platform is a plus. • Experience with cloud platforms beyond Azure (AWS, GCP) is a plus. • Relevant certifications (e.g., VMware VCP, Microsoft MCSA, Azure Administrator Associate, CompTIA Server+).
