Position Summary Telecommunications is one of the fastest growing industries, and we are growing to meet our clients’ ever expanding wireless and wireline needs! Due to BEAD government funding as well as the increasing demand for rural broadband service, we are looking to grow our Fiber-To-The-Home (FTTH) Team to help meet this demand. We are looking for a driven and energetic individual with a strong work ethic and high level of integrity to join our team. We are seeking a seasoned FTTH Professional to lead the design, planning, and deployment of our high-speed fiber optic networks. This position will be responsible for taking projects from initial high-level design through to final "lit" services, ensuring all outside plant (OSP) construction meets technical specifications, stays on budget, and complies with local regulations. Key Role Responsibilities - Oversee the design, permitting, and deployment of multiple FTTH Projects across the several states - Manage both internal and external vendors to help facilitate the completion of various project milestones - Apply experience with telecom/utility standards (e.g., NESC, RR, DOT specs) to determine best build environment, handhole/manhole placements, and conduit routing - Taking lead on communicating project reporting/progression to our customers and shareholders - Responsible for tracking/documenting dependencies, risks, and deliverables throughout project lifecycle - Coordinate with field surveying, engineering, permitting, CAD, construction, and operations teams to ensure project success - Provide technical assistance with Permitting/Regulatory correspondence (DOT/County/City/RR) - Make expedited design related decisions based on changing field conditions, customer needs, or financial constraints - Support quality checks (peer reviews for internal and external deliverables) and closeout documentation for customer submittal - Use of project management software (e.g., Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, ArcGIS) - Managing multi-site, municipal, or rural broadband deployments - Ensure all deliverables meet customer expectations andare in compliance within industry regulations, NESC specifications, and safety standards. Preferred Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Business Administration, or equivalent field experience - 5+ years’ experience within the Telecommunications Industry (OSP Background Preferred) - Possesses extensive knowledge of the network infrastructure specific to FTTH projects - Experience with network design and planning, equipment design/installation, and performance troubleshooting - PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is preferred - Expertise within Aerial, Underground, and ISP fiber deployments - Proficiency with GIS, AutoCAD, Esri for network design documentation - Awareness of safety protocols, OSHA standards, regulatory compliance - Familiarity with NESC (National Electrical Safety Code) and local permitting processes/specifications - Project Managing Experience within related to one or more of the following projects: - Telecommunications – Long Haul Fiber, Data Center Infrastructure, OSP, ISP, FTTH, Small Cell, Wireless,etc - Utility Work Improvements, e.g., Water, Gas, Storm, Sanitary, Electric,etc - ROW Improvements or Public Developments, e.g., Streets, Sidewalk, Parkways, Park Districts, DOTs,etc - Land Development, e.g., Residential, Commercial Office, Strip Malls, Subdivisions - CFOT/CFOS/FOA certifications or equivalent technical credentials - Prior involvement with OSP Construction, Installation, Maintenance, Break-Fix,etc - Previous experience with Data Collection/Field Surveying Required Qualifications - 3+ years’ experience within the Telecommunications Industry or working in similar capacity - In-depth knowledge of OSP fiber design, construction, permitting, and fiber standards - Familiarity with typical CAD standards within the civil engineering industry - Prior project managing experience including customer interfacing - Understanding of fiber splicing, termination, and testing - Experience coordinating cross-functional teams, contractors, and external stakeholders - Budget modeling, cost tracking, and financial oversight - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Proven track record of planning, executing, and monitoring fiber network projects, including scope, schedule, budget, and quality control.
