Job Description

OTS Preconstruction Project Manager

SOLV Energy

• Manage and oversee OTS EPC projects during the pre-construction phase, including scope, schedule, and budget during pre-construction phase. • Maintain OTS Pre-Construction Tracker. • Act as main POC to EPC Pre-Con on all incoming projects. • Attend all BD to Pre-Con handoff calls. • Confirm initial project budgets and communicate with stakeholders. • Identify and manage cost changes during pre-construction phase. • Generate job start forms/setting projects up in CMiC. • Collaborate with design team in kicking off design in the constraints of project schedules. • Collaborate with procurement teams to draft project Bill of Materials (BOM). • Manage the execution of vendor subcontracts considering project schedule constraints. • Collaborate with EPC Pre-Con in processing SOLV-to-SOLV Agreements. • Track and review SOW exhibits. • Work with Manager, OTS Project Development and other Managers to assign appropriate project resources. • Review and update project schedules. • Participate in financial/month end reporting for projects during pre-construction phase. • Set up and host thorough project handoffs from OTS Pre-Con to OTS PMs. • Collaborate with EPC teams to process and import full project budgets into CMiC. • Support a culture of continuous improvement and look for opportunities to improve processes and efficiency.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years project management experience preferred but not required, proven experience managing multiple projects within multidisciplinary teams required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of PV solar industry experience (industrial or utility scale experience desired).
  • General knowledge of SCADA and/or OT system design, setup, commissioning and support (desired but not required).
  • Experience with basic renewable generation monitoring functions and designs.
  • Customer escalation and conflict resolution skills desirable.
  • Resource planning and mitigation management.
  • Cost budget management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding diagrams and schematics including but not limited to, power system, networking and control, electrical, mechanical and civil layouts.
  • Experience working with schedule software including but not limited to Oracle P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft office tools including but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook, Sharepoint, Power BI.
  • Experience using task management tools is a plus.
