Mission at Rwazi Rwazi’s data engine operates across Retail Mapping (RM) and Consumer Insights (CI) deployments spanning dozens of countries and thousands of contributors. The Director of Operations owns the global execution system that ensures data capture fulfills predictably, economically, and at decision-grade quality. This role is responsible not only for delivery, but for architecting the operational machine itself — activation logic, deployment economics, QA governance, contingency infrastructure, and cross-functional alignment. The Director of Operations defines how Rwazi executes at scale. You Will Be In Charge Of - Ensuring every client log fulfills on time and at required quality thresholds - Designing scalable activation and contributor supply systems across regions - Governing QA standards to protect client-grade data integrity - Controlling cost structures and payout economics - Building multi-path contingency frameworks to eliminate delivery risk - Scaling a high-performance global operations team This is a system-ownership role with direct impact on revenue reliability and client trust. Key Responsibilities Global Delivery System Ownership - Own end-to-end execution across RM and CI deployments - Maintain operational predictability across geographies, time zones, and product types - Establish clear escalation pathways and risk thresholds Contributor Supply & Activation Infrastructure - Design global contributor acquisition and reactivation systems - Optimize throughput per city and per log - Align incentives with delivery velocity and QA quality QA Governance & Data Integrity - Lead the QA function as a control system, not just a review layer - Define pass-rate thresholds, rejection logic, and retraining loops - Ensure data meets client-facing standards without threshold dilution Economic Control & Forecasting - Track and optimize cost-per-approved submission - Forecast fulfillment timelines based on early signal velocity - Prevent margin leakage through structural discipline Contingency & Risk Infrastructure - Build Plan A/B/C routing for all major deployments - Mitigate risks related to geography gaps, contributor churn, or platform failures - Reduce late-stage surprises through early signal detection Cross-Functional Alignment - Align Operations with Sales timelines and client SLAs - Collaborate with Engineering to strengthen execution tooling - Partner with Community to sustain contributor engagement Team Leadership & Scaling - Hire, train, and manage regional operations leads - Define performance standards and accountability structures - Build a culture of execution discipline and ownership Role Impact Strong performance in this role results in: - Predictable log fulfillment across markets - Reduced redeployment rates - Higher QA first-pass approval rates - Lower cost volatility - Fewer escalations and reactive firefighting - Increased client trust and contract expansion This role directly determines whether Rwazi scales cleanly or collapses under operational complexity. What This Role Is Not - This is not a coordination-only role - This is not a task-tracking role - This is not a support or ticket-based function - This is not purely strategic — execution accountability is required This role requires structural thinking and hands-on operational command. Qualifications and Profile We are looking for individuals who demonstrate: - 8–12+ years operating complex, multi-region execution systems - Proven experience managing gig or distributed contributor networks - Strong quantitative reasoning (rates, throughput, forecasting, cost modeling) - Comfort operating in high-friction, rapidly changing environments - Builder mentality — able to create scalable systems from ambiguity - Experience leading cross-functional delivery organizations Candidates may come from high-scale marketplaces, field operations platforms, logistics, gig networks, or complex B2B SaaS delivery environments. Cultural Fit We value leaders who: - Take full ownership of outcomes - Operate calmly under pressure - Move quickly without sacrificing structural rigor - Build systems that outlast individuals - Prefer accountability over comfort This role is suited for operators who enjoy designing execution engines at scale. How Candidates Are Evaluated Candidates are evaluated based on: - Their ability to structure complex operational systems - Their quantitative fluency and forecasting logic - Their contingency design thinking - Their leadership under real-world delivery constraints - Their ability to eliminate chaos through structural clarity We prioritize demonstrated operational control and system-building capability over resumes alone. Summary The Director of Operations owns the reliability, economics, and quality of Rwazi’s global data capture engine. This role defines how Rwazi executes as it scales — ensuring that delivery remains predictable, defensible, and system-driven across every geography and product line.
