Our product automates the mindless tasks that creatives and marketers do every day to manage content and unlocks creativity through image recognition, automated versioning, and approval workflows. We launched in March 2021 and have raised +$70m from world-class venture capital groups including Avenir, Tiger Global, Headline Ventures, Lerer Hippeau, WndrCo, and Slack Ventures. The Role We’re looking for an experienced Senior Fullstack Engineer to design, build, and ship product features end to end across Air’s web platform. You’ll own every step of the development lifecycle—requirements gathering, architecture, implementation, testing, release, and iteration—while collaborating closely with Product, Design, and fellow engineers. If you thrive in fast-paced environments, love creating clarity from ambiguity, and can flex between frontend and backend codebases, this role is for you. Core Responsibilities Deliver Product Features End to End - Collaborate with Product and Design to break down ambiguous problems into clear requirements and thoughtful technical decisions. - Own the entire development cycle, from ideation to deployment - across our React/Node stack. Contribute to Engineering Excellence - Participate in on-call rotations, tech-spec reviews, and code reviews. - Continuously improve engineering practices, suggesting and delivering enhancements across both frontend and backend codebases. - Help grow the team by interviewing and mentoring engineers. Operate with Speed and Clarity - Drive projects forward in a high-velocity, resource-constrained environment where requirements may be lightly defined. - Proactively create clarity, seek support from stakeholders, and occasionally wear a product hat to keep initiatives moving. Build Across the Stack - Work fluidly across frontend and backend technologies, including React, TypeScript, Next.js, Node.js, Vercel, and modern tooling. - Design APIs, architect data models, and implement UI components that scale. Provide Technical Leadership - Offer thoughtful feedback on technical designs and code reviews. - Advocate for high-quality technical decisions and best practices, helping to set the standard for Air’s engineering culture. Requirements - Experience: 5+ years of professional software development experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment (ideally in SaaS or technology-driven industries) with significant exposure to both frontend and backend systems. - Technical Skills: Strong proficiency with React, TypeScript, Next.js, Node.js, and common modern dev tooling. Experience deploying and maintaining production web applications at scale. - Entrepreneurial Drive: You like to work in public, own problems end-to-end, and move with intentional speed - so your best ideas ship fast and make a visible dent. - Obsessed with Winning: Everyone at Air plays to win, says the hard thing, and progresses every day while building genuine relationships. How We Work at Air - Act like a driver: Take initiative and ownership without waiting to be told. - Work in public: Share ideas openly, get feedback early, and collaborate across teams. - Play to win: Aim high and bring creativity, adaptability, and focus to your work. - Say the hard thing: Give and receive feedback with clarity and respect. - Disagree and commit: Debate honestly, then align quickly to move forward together. Your work will have a direct, tangible impact on [our ARR growth]. - Comprehensive Benefits: We offer competitive medical, dental, and vision insurance, along with dependent coverage. You’ll also enjoy a generous work-from-home stipend, professional development reimbursement, and unlimited vacation days. - Commitment to Diversity: We believe in the power of diverse perspectives and strive to create an inclusive culture that welcomes individuals from all backgrounds and experiences. - Competitive Compensation: The compensation range for this role is USD $146,000 to $215,000 base salary. Who is Aiwyn and what do we do? Aiwyn is transforming the way accounting firms manage the entire revenue lifecycle. Backed by top-tier investors like Bessemer, KKR, and Revolution, we’re one of the fastest-growing scale-up SaaS companies in the world. We build category-defining technology—and we’re doing it with world-class people, processes, and products. To learn more, visit our website Who You Are: We’re looking for a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer who thrives working across the entire stack, from building robust backend services and APIs to crafting polished, responsive user interfaces. You’ll join one of our product teams, taking end-to-end ownership of features from database schema to UI component. We know full-stack means different things to different people. You might be deeply experienced in Java/Kotlin and Spring Boot, with growing frontend skills and a genuine desire to own the UI. Or you might be a seasoned Angular developer who’s built real backend services and wants to go deeper. Either profile works — what matters is that you want to work across the stack and take pride in delivering complete, high-quality features. We’re also leaning heavily into AI-accelerated development. We see AI as a force multiplier for engineering velocity, and we’re actively investing in tools, workflows, and practices that let our engineers ship faster and tackle more ambitious problems. We want people who are genuinely excited about using AI to accelerate their work, not just curious about it, but already experimenting with it and eager to push the boundaries of what’s possible. What You'll Do: - Design & Build Across the Stack – Design and implement features end-to-end, from robust backend services and APIs in Java/Kotlin and Spring Boot to polished, responsive user interfaces in Angular. Own the full lifecycle of features - database schema to UI component - while maintaining high code quality standards and contributing to architectural decisions. - Collaborate & Deliver – Work within agile product teams to deliver high-quality features, participate in code reviews, and contribute to technical discussions across both backend and frontend. Partner with designers and product managers to translate requirements into complete, working solutions. - Innovate & Improve – Tackle complex technical problems that span the full stack, propose innovative solutions and continuously improve our development practices, tooling, and user experience. - AI-Accelerated Development – Leverage AI coding assistants and tools to accelerate development velocity across the full stack. Help establish and refine AI-assisted development workflows, prompting strategies, and best practices for the team. Evaluate and adopt emerging AI tools that improve code quality, testing, and developer productivity. Contribute to a culture where AI is a natural part of the engineering workflow, not an afterthought. What We Need: - Full-Stack Mindset – A genuine desire to work across the entire stack, not just tolerance for it. You take pride in delivering complete features and are eager to deepen your skills on both sides. - Strong Foundation in One, Proficiency in the Other – Deep expertise in either Java/Kotlin and Spring Boot or Angular and TypeScript, with demonstrated hands-on experience in the other. You bring senior-level strength to your primary domain and solid working ability across the stack. - Technical Excellence – Strong understanding of OOP, functional programming, software design principles, and modern architecture patterns. Ability to write clean, performant, and maintainable code in both backend and frontend contexts. - Problem-Solving Skills – Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve complex technical problems that span multiple layers of the system, with a keen eye for identifying potential issues and implementing effective solutions. - Quality Focus – Strong commitment to code quality, testing practices, and software development best practices across the stack. Experience writing well-tested, maintainable code. - Technical Communication – Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts and decisions, participate effectively in code reviews, mentor other engineers, and contribute to a positive team culture. - System Understanding – Ability to understand system architecture and how frontend and backend components interact, with experience in building and maintaining distributed systems. Preferred: - Experience building solutions that leverage LLMs - Experience building software with agentic AI - Experience with PostgreSQL and BigQuery - Experience with Google Cloud Platform services - Familiarity with multi-tenant SaaS architectures - Expertise with NGXS or similar state management solutions - Experience building enterprise-grade component libraries with Angular Material - Experience with GraphQL - Experience with data pipelines and ETL processes - Experience with continuous integration and deployment practices - Knowledge of modern build tools and frontend optimization techniques - Background in contributing to system architecture discussions - Track record of mentoring junior developers - Track record of successful projects in fast-paced environments Why Work at Aiwyn? - The big-picture value proposition of this role is simple: join us, and you'll be paid competitively to have freedom in solving worthwhile, challenging problems alongside other A-players at a fast-growing SaaS startup led by an experienced and successful team with industry experience. Other benefits include: - Remote, work-from-anywhere culture - Competitive compensation - Healthcare benefits, - Stock options - 401(k) matching - Adventure Travel Stipend on each anniversary of your employment with Aiwyn Our Values: - Relentless by Design - Owners not Renters - Trust at the Core Aiwyn is an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to age, ancestry, color, family or medical care leave, gender identity or expression, genetic information, marital status, medical condition, national origin, physical or mental disability, political affiliation, protected veteran status, race, religion, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, or any other characteristic protected by applicable laws, regulations and ordinances.
