Senior Narrative Technical Animator

• Support the creation and integration of AAA quality gameplay animations that reflect the game design goals and mechanics using Unreal Engine 5 • Create and maintain Unreal Engine Blueprints for animation systems and state machines • Use procedural solutions to create, process, polish and integrate AAA quality facial animations that are believable and engaging • Collaborate with the animation team to ensure cinematics and gameplay are a seamless holistic experience, using Unreal Engine's sequencer and proprietary workflows • Use and design debug tools to solve animation issues • Be proactive, assisting with troubleshooting workflows, rigging and pipeline issues • Effectively connect with animators, engineers, and design, to give and accept feedback • Support animation tool and workflow development with documentation
Job Requirements
- Comprehensive understanding of Unreal Engine Blueprints, state machines, blend spaces, Montages, Anim Graphs, and Event Graphs
- Strong understanding of cinematic and scripted animation implementation in Unreal Engine using sequencer and Blueprints
- Experience working with motion capture data in the game industry with an emphasis on technical knowledge of integration practices
- Experience working with Metahumans for facial animation in Unreal Engine 5
- Experience working on AAA games with an emphasis on highly realistic assets and animation
- Working knowledge of scripting or C++ a bonus
- Technical working knowledge of Maya
- A passion for making games and the enthusiasm to polish
- Strong technical problem-solving and interpersonal skills.

These opportunities are located in either Malaysia, or Indonesia (Remote). This is a permanent, full time position. Keywords Studios is a global leader providing art services to AAA Publishers. Our work can be seen across many of the top selling titles on console and PC. We've secured an exciting AAA IP project and anticipating further project announcements early in 2026. You'll get to work alongside seasoned developers bringing expertise from world class AAA studios At Keywords Studios we are looking for an accomplished, enthusiastic and self-motivated Character Artist to join our team working on an exciting, new and unannounced project. **What you will do:** Creation of realtime 3D Character, Vehicle and Environment assets. Work closely with the Lead Artist to ensure the visual target is met or exceeded. Work within the engine to preview, iterate, optimize and polish assets to a quality bar and visual direction agreed with stakeholders, while respecting the technical requirements. Actively participate in technical and aesthetic problem-solving discussions. Review assets produced by outsource teams and provide technical and aesthetic feedback. Provide guidance and assistance whenever required to outsourcing vendors. Maintain a consistent quality of work while staying on schedule. Help the production team with tasks breakdown, prioritization and assignment among the art team. Maintain visibility of progress and where areas of production need assistance.
• Edit and animate high-quality video content across platforms, including brand films, social, digital, broadcast, experiential, and internal communications • Develop advanced animations that enhance storytelling–ranging from kinetic typography to kinematics • Collaborate closely with creative directors, art directors, and producers from concept through final delivery • Interpret creative briefs and translate strategy into engaging visual narratives • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of craft and attention to detail • Optimize video and animation assets for various formats, channels, and technical specifications • Maintain a fastidious organizational structure for media assets and project files • Contribute to creative reviews with strong ideas, solutions, and a collaborative mindset • Stay current with emerging trends, tools, and techniques in video editing and animation
• Own the creation of high-quality, photorealistic static & motion based 3D renderings across all major touch points • Partner closely with art directors, designers, & our digital product team to shape and evolve Caraway’s rendering style, motion language, and visual systems • Partner closely with Product Design to ensure accuracy in form, materials, finishes and color • Develop and execute short-form 3D motion pieces (product narratives, feature callouts, dynamic interactions, etc) • Lead exploratory rendering efforts to test new approaches, lighting styles, materials, motion techniques and emerging tools • Participate in concept development, ie sketches, mood boards, render ideas for product launches and campaigns • Help define and maintain rendering best practices, workflows and asset standards • Execute at production-ready scale, delivering polished work on tight timelines
