What You’ll Do - Own significant portions of core automation management and oversight experiences, partnering with senior designers on broader strategy - Define and refine mental models that help customers understand how automation, AI-powered steps, and agents behave. - Create scalable interaction patterns for navigating, inspecting, and troubleshooting complex, data-rich systems. - Translate technical capabilities into clear, actionable user experiences in close partnership with Product and Engineering. - Prototype and test sophisticated interface concepts to validate usability, clarity, and trust. - Partner cross-functionally to drive coherence across product surfaces and ensure automation experiences feel unified. - Contribute to long-term UX strategy for intelligent workflows and influence design quality beyond your immediate scope. What You’ll Bring Required Qualifications - 5+ years of product design experience in complex SaaS, platform, or systems-based environments (or equivalent experience). - Strong systems thinking and demonstrated expertise in interaction design for complex interfaces. - Experience designing management, admin, platform, or data-heavy experiences. - Ability to navigate ambiguity and bring clarity where definitions and patterns are still emerging. - Experience partnering closely with product managers and engineers to ship high-quality solutions. - Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate clear points of view backed by research and rationale. - A portfolio showcasing shipped work on complex, cross-functional problems (password-protected portfolios welcome). Nice-to-Have Qualifications - Experience designing agentic automation systems, workflow tools, or AI-driven product experiences. - Experience contributing to or evolving a design system across multiple product areas. - Comfort shaping strategy in addition to crafting detailed interaction flows. Pay & Benefits The cash compensation below includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles.
