• Drive the early product discovery of a new area for Timely with some support from external PM, design, and business stakeholders. Coordinate and oversee work of these external stakeholders in the process. • Build initial prototypes and MVPs of the product end-end to prove value. • Establish & operationalize key decision processes and metrics to move forward with new product effort. • Drive key technical discovery and decisioning for any buildout. Rightsize our architecture and design early on to balance time to market and support for future iterations and integrations. • Engage with potential customers to engage with, provide feedback on, the product.

• Build and ship customer-facing product features from concept to production. • Use Cursor or similar AI coding tools daily to accelerate development, refactoring, testing, and iteration. • Design and implement AI-powered workflows, automations, and product features (including LLM integrations). • Partner closely with Product, Design, and Leadership to shape requirements and technical direction. • Own features and systems in production — including reliability, performance, and continuous improvement. • Make pragmatic architectural decisions that balance speed, scalability, and long-term maintainability. • Help define engineering best practices for an AI-first development culture. • Mentor teammates and raise the bar for product-focused engineering.

• Develop & maintain mechanisms to provide our customers a top-notch experience when it comes to adopting and installing our components both in cloud native and hosts environments (e.g. Ansible roles/playbooks, Kubernetes operators, Helm charts, etc.) • Design and implement a packaging and distribution framework that every other team in the company will use as a building block to ship their components (a.k.a. "agents") to our customers • Manage and improve the CI infrastructures, creating tools to automate processes. • Assist internal and external customers with host component installation or configuration issues, and use this information to create a feedback loop for improvement • Incorporate inputs from our Product team and customers to refine the lifecycle management of our products

• Work with engineers internal to the company, and within the open source community on feature and bug fix requests • Proactively identify and resolve ambiguity in product requirements • Comfortable working proactively, managing time efficiently, and thriving in a vibrant remote work environment! ✨🦄 • Actively participate in communities of practice via Slack and Github Issues • Integrate software products with existing defense systems, ensuring seamless interoperability and adherence to security protocols • Own architecture decisions and ensure technical quality across the engineering team • Participate in on-call rotation for our production environment • Develop comprehensive documentation, including design specifications, user manuals, and maintenance guides • Contribute to Open Source Projects. Participating in Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF), Apache Software Foundation (ASF), or Open Source Security Foundation (OpenSSF) is a huge plus! • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to inform product enhancements and innovation. • Provide technical mentorship and elevate engineering standards across the team • Influence product direction through deep understanding of user needs and system constraints
