Role Description The Manager of Strategic Sourcing - Technology will lead enterprise-wide procurement initiatives, supplier relationship management, and contract management activities across multiple categories of spend. - Develop and implement sourcing strategies - Conduct market and supplier research - Manage RFI/RFP/RFQ processes - Oversee supplier evaluation and selection - Drive contract negotiations - Support enterprise-wide Technology initiatives - Ensure compliance with security standards - Partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to foster supplier and stakeholder partnerships that drive measurable value to College Board. - Strategic Sourcing & Category Management (70%) - Lead the development and execution of sourcing strategies to optimize spend, reduce risk, and enhance value - Identify, evaluate, and make recommendations on selection of suppliers and technologies - Understand the current supplier landscape and identify opportunities to consolidate demand - Proactively update sourcing strategies based on market analysis and risk assessment - Supplier & Contract Management (15%) - Lead supplier selection, performance management, and relationship development - Lead negotiations of commercial terms, service-level agreements (SLAs), and licensing models - Partner with Legal, GRC, and Information Security teams - Manage ongoing supplier relationships and performance reviews - Data & Process Excellence (10%) - Gather and analyze spend data to benchmark and identify opportunities for savings - Create category specific cost models to support data driven sourcing recommendations - Adopt and leverage existing Procurement tools and platforms - Cross-Functional Leadership & Collaboration (5%) - Proactively engage with stakeholders to understand their goals - Serve as a trusted advisor to business units on category related procurement and sourcing matters Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred - 7+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supplier management - At least 3 years focused on Technology category sourcing - Demonstrated experience negotiating high-value, complex technology contracts - Familiarity with ERP systems, supplier management systems, and contract lifecycle management tools - CPSM, PMP, Lean/Six Sigma, or ISM certification preferred - Strong knowledge of technology sourcing categories - Strong analytical, financial, and strategic problem-solving skills - Excellent communication and presentation abilities - Demonstrated ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships - High level of integrity, initiative, curiosity, and organization - Comfort with fast-paced, cross-functional mission-driven environments Requirements - A passion for expanding educational and career opportunities and mission-driven work - Authorization to work in the United States for any employer - Curiosity and enthusiasm for emerging technologies - Clear and concise communication skills, written and verbal - A learner's mindset and a commitment to growth - A drive for impact and excellence - A collaborative and empathetic approach Benefits - Meaningful career and a supportive team - Comprehensive package designed to help you thrive - Fair and competitive compensation - Hiring range for this role is $80,000-$130,000

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supplier management
  • At least 3 years focused on Technology category sourcing
  • Demonstrated experience negotiating high-value, complex technology contracts
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, supplier management systems, and contract lifecycle management tools
  • CPSM, PMP, Lean/Six Sigma, or ISM certification preferred
  • Strong knowledge of technology sourcing categories
