About the team and the role: eBay, Inc. seeks E-Commerce Marketing Analyst 5 in San Jose, CA What you will accomplish: Job Duties: Coordinate product marketing campaign execution, optimization, and ongoing monitoring. Define and manage campaign objectives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. Analyze campaign performance, contextualize trends, spot outliers, and opportunities for improvement. Influence campaign strategy – staying aligned with and working towards achievable outcomes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze technical requirements, assess potential strategies, and develop solutions to address market forces. Collaborate with business partners to establish clear marketing goals and deliverables. Conduct ad hoc issue investigations, surveys, and quantification of business impacts. Communicate results consistently and clearly with all stakeholders. Contribute to test ideation – hypothesis, measurement, and design. Create and organize regular reporting documents and status updates. Evaluate and optimize marketing campaigns to improve return on investment. Develop and automate business intelligence reporting to streamline opportunity sizing, root cause analysis, anomaly detection, and other performance-impacting insights. Enable scaled execution of marketing campaigns and experimentation through API scripting or other programmatic tools. Full-time telecommuting is permitted. Work may be performed from anywhere within the U.S. What you will bring: Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Business Analytics, Data Science, or a closely related field, plus three years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Special Skill Requirements: - Experience with performance marketing experimentation – Hypothesis, Design, Execution, and Measurement (3 years). - Experience with designing, creating, and organizing reporting documents and status updates (3 years). - Experience mining and analyzing data, using Excel and SQL (3 years). - Experience leveraging SQL, API scripting, and self-serve data from multiple data platforms (3 years). - Experience with programming languages and tools: R, Scala, JavaScript, and Python (3 years). - Experience with analysis techniques: regression, clustering, prediction (3 years). - Experience with conceptualizing e-commerce business problems and solving them through data analysis (3 years). - Experience with data visualization tools: PowerBI or Tableau (3 years). - Experience with performance marketing campaigns across Google/Bing Shopping Ads, Text Ads, and Display Ads (3 years). - Experience with evaluating and optimizing marketing campaigns to improve return on investment (ROI) (3 years). EOE, including disability/vets. Salary: $146,453.00-160,000.00 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. Additional Details Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
