• Hands-on Python developer with a strong data and automation background • Focused on data processing, transformation, and pipeline/batch optimization • Strong experience in building scalable, efficient data solutions for automation-driven environments • Ability to work end-to-end in data workflows, from ingestion to optimization and performance

• Build and maintain robust, scalable, and secure backend services and APIs for identity document processing and verification • Collaborate with Product, Data Science/Machine Learning, and Infrastructure teams to design and implement new document verification features in an agile environment • Drive improvements in code quality, testing coverage, performance optimization, security, and CI/CD practices for the DocV backend systems • Own backend architecture decisions and advocate for best practices in API design, microservice architecture, and secure data handling • Analyze production metrics and real-world usage data to continuously refine system performance, reliability, and scalability • Contribute to the integration of machine learning and computer vision components into the DocV backend pipeline • Work closely with frontend and mobile engineers to define clear API contracts and ensure a seamless end-to-end user experience

• Own software projects from scoping to release • Design efficient, reliable and scalable solutions • Build software using Elixir, React and associated technologies • Define work for and mentor more junior team members • Lead collaboration with product, engineering and QA teammates

• Collaborate with frontend engineers to create API's to provide a best-in-class experience for our users • Integrate with external services using APIs to manage payments, documents, and claims. • Integrate with data providers to source real-time information on hundreds of data points, including property characteristics and risk profiles • Build out our APIs so that third-party resellers can purchase insurance from us programmatically. • Contribute to important architectural and operational decisions like microservices vs. monoliths, deployment techniques, technologies, policies, processes, etc. • Build out our internal tooling and APIs to make business and engineering processes easier, faster, and safer. • Participate in daily stand-ups, weekly 1:1's, and biweekly retros • Provide subject matter expertise and support to partners across the business • Spread your expertise at the company (e.g., promote best practices and share what you've learned)
