Role Description We are seeking a Regulatory & Operational Compliance Manager to ensure that our global network operates within all applicable legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements. In this highly cross‑functional role, you will translate regulatory obligations and commercial commitments into clear, actionable plans that guide technical execution across our network. You will collaborate daily with Regulatory Affairs, Legal, Commercial, Partnerships, Network Engineering, and Operations teams to build scalable processes that keep our service compliant, reliable, and ready for global expansion. This is a hands‑on position in a fast‑paced environment, offering broad exposure and the opportunity to shape how we launch and operate a groundbreaking satellite communications service. Key Responsibilities - Ensure Licensing & Regulatory Compliance: Partner with the Regulatory team to secure and maintain required licenses and authorizations globally. Ensure operations comply with telecom regulations, license conditions, and spectrum-use requirements. - Translate Requirements into Technical Execution: Convert regulatory obligations (e.g., power limits, spectrum rules), license terms, and commercial SLAs into clear technical specifications for network design, configuration, and monitoring. - Cross-Functional Coordination: Lead routine alignment meetings with Regulatory, Commercial, Engineering, and Operations to review compliance status, upcoming requirements, and potential risks. - Develop Scalable Compliance Processes: Establish repeatable procedures, controls, checklists, and documentation frameworks to support operational readiness and ongoing compliance. - Support Regulatory and Contract Reporting: Assist in preparing compliance reports, filings, monitoring summaries, and partner deliverables. - Risk Identification & Mitigation: Proactively identify compliance risks related to operational changes, new markets, or evolving regulations; work with internal teams to implement corrective actions. - Documentation & Record Keeping: Maintain organized, thorough records of licenses, obligations, communications, commitments, and compliance evidence. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in engineering, telecommunications, public policy, or a related field required. - Advanced degree or specialized coursework in telecom policy or regulatory affairs is a plus. - A minimum of 3–5 years of experience in telecommunications regulatory compliance, regulatory affairs, satellite/wireless operations, or a similar field. - Experience working with licensing authorities (FCC, ITU, or national regulators) or supporting compliance programs is highly desirable. Preferred Qualifications - Familiarity with telecom licensing, spectrum management, or satellite service authorizations. - Experience preparing regulatory submissions or compliance reports. - Exposure to service-level agreements (SLAs), commercial obligations, or partnership contracts. - Understanding of cellular networks (4G/5G), RF concepts, or satellite system operations. - Experience in fast-moving technology, aerospace, or communications environments. Soft Skills - Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross‑functional teams. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to simplify complex concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences. - Meticulous attention to detail in documentation, reporting, and compliance workflows. - Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously. - Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, especially when interpreting regulatory or contractual requirements. - Highly organized with strong project management skills. - Adaptable, proactive, and self-driven; comfortable navigating ambiguity. - High ethical standards and integrity, with a commitment to speaking up when something is not compliant. Technology Stack - Proficiency with productivity and collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Confluence). - Familiarity with compliance tracking systems, databases, or document management platforms. - Ability to work with dashboards, reporting tools, or data analytics platforms for compliance monitoring (experience is a plus). - General comfort with network operations tools, monitoring systems, or engineering platforms (not required but beneficial). Physical Requirements - Ability to work in a standard office environment and use a computer for extended periods. - Ability to participate in virtual meetings across multiple time zones as needed. - Occasional travel may be required for regulatory meetings, cross-functional workshops, or partner engagements.
