LOCATION: 100% Remote COMPENSATION: $40-$45.00/hr JOB SUMMARY Under the direction of the National Director, Teen Initiatives & Engagement the Director, Teen Engagement will have the primary responsibility of coordinating and executing teen experiences that support our national effort to increase teen membership and participation across the Boys & Girls Club enterprise. This position will be responsible for co-leading BGCA’s national teen leadership conference and all associated activities. This candidate must have a solid understanding of, and facility in, teen programming, and work collaboratively with staff across teams and departments. Responsibilities ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - Co-manage and execute the 59th National Keystone Conference experience for Keystone Club teens and advisors across the Movement to achieve stated goals and ensure a robust, safe and teen-centric conference for attendees. - Engage and support a conference steering committee, made up of local Boys & Girls staff and teens, to include meaningful pre-conference responsibilities, and onsite conference leadership roles. - Provide support and guidance to internal teams responsible for executing conference sessions, activities and experiences. - Ensure all programmatic workshop content, internal and external communications, and event functions are aligned, informed and updated in a timely manner. - Effectively manage assigned conference projects to include project design and initiation, deliverables, budget, vendors, partnerships, internal and external communications. - Partner and work closely with Clubs in capturing, developing and publishing event-planning protocols and best practices resources to share across the Boys & Girls Club Movement. - Other duties as assigned. SUPERVISION EXERCISED - No direct reports. May monitor and coordinate the work of temporary employees or contractors. Qualifications EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE - Bachelor’s degree, in education, youth develpment, sociology, psychology, public health, or a related field. - Expertise in teen trends, positive youth development, high-quality youth programming and youth outreach. - Proven track record of successful project management, event planning or strategic execution of high-priority initiatives ENVIRONMENTAL & WORKING CONDITIONS - This position is remote and will require occasional evening virtual meetings to meet the needs of overseas Steering Committee members. - Travel is estimated at up to 10% for meetings and conference attendance. The individual selected for this position must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license Ability to travel by car, airplane, or other modes of transportation required
