• Bring prior experience to organize and define work for complex or ambiguous situations. • Provide consultation, training, and knowledge sharing to associates. • Lead automation activities within team leveraging Ansible, python and/or powershell. • Actively contribute to domain body of knowledge. • Design, deploy, and manage enterprise backup solutions, including tape, disk, and cloud-based systems. • Troubleshoot and resolve complex backup failures, ensuring data recoverability and minimal downtime. • Monitor backup performance, analyze trends, and optimize processes for efficiency and reliability. • Ensure compliance with internal standards, contractual obligations, and industry regulations. • Proficiency in multiple scripting languages to develop solutions for automation and reporting.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 11 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8 years with a Master’s; or 5 years with a PhD;
- 4+ years of Linux administration (RHEL or similar).
- Strong scripting skills in Python, plus Bash, PowerShell, and SQL.
- Proven experience managing and modernizing enterprise backup environments.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale modernization, migration, and optimization projects.
