Role Summary The Senior ETF Specialist will serve as a centralized resource for ETF-related content, product positioning, research, industry intelligence, and internal commentary, supporting both client-facing and strategic initiatives. This role enhances the ETF Specialists team’s capabilities by streamlining information flows, generating insights, and supporting sales and product partners with actionable data and thought leadership. The Senior ETF Specialist will actively support client meetings, respond to ETF inquiries, and deliver ETF education to sales teams and key stakeholders. The position aligns closely with the existing work of the Specialists team and reports into the Head of ETF Specialists. Responsibilities ETF Product Positioning: - Develop competitive ETF product positioning frameworks for key audiences (e.g., broker-dealers, RIAs, platforms, home-office research). - Partner with Product and Investments to translate strategies and portfolios into compelling ETF narratives and client use cases. - Support Product team in evaluating category trends, new product ideas, and competitor positioning. - Contribute to strategic efforts around platform approvals & rec lists, model placement, and product distribution. Content Development: - Produce ETF thought leadership materials - Create and maintain ETF team decks and presentations for client engagement. - Develop and update ETF educational resources (e.g., ETF structure, tax efficiency, liquidity, derivatives usage). Internal Commentary: - Generate actionable trade ideas for sales teams - Deliver real-time market and sector/regime insights to ETF Specialists. - Provide regular competitive intelligence and product comparisons. Industry Intelligence: - Act as a centralized hub for ETF industry data and insights. - Monitor industry trends, flows, launches, closures, and competitive activity. - Disseminate insights to inform leadership and product strategy. Client Support: - Participate in client meetings as needed. - Respond to ETF-related inquiries from sales and internal stakeholders. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience - 10+ years of total relevant work experience - Proficient in ETF data and research tools - In-depth knowledge of ETFs and competing investment vehicles such as mutual funds, separately managed accounts, etc. - Strong ETF knowledge including within active ETFs, product structure, trading, and competitive landscape. - Series 7 and 63 required Preferred: - Advanced degree or designation - Exceptional communication skills including written, verbal, and delivering presentations - Strong understanding of the players in the ETF ecosystem, capital markets, sophisticated investment vehicles, and financial market’s structure - Direct experience in ETFs strongly preferred (e.g., research, capital markets, sales, or investment strategy). - Strong organizational, time management, and relationship management skills - Ability to drive results and operate independently - Ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights. - Collaborative mindset with a proactive, analytical problem-solving approach. FINRA Requirements FINRA licenses are required and will be supported for this role. Work Flexibility This role is eligible for full time remote work. Base Salary Ranges Please review the job posting for the location of this specific opportunity. $173,000.00 - $295,000.00 for the location of: Maryland, Colorado, Washington and remote workers $190,000.00 - $324,000.00 for the location of: Washington, D.C. $216,000.00 - $350,000.00 for the location of: New York, California Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the role. Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
