• Provide support in systems engineering and analysis for complex systems development • Collaborate and build trusting relationships with clients through delivery excellence • Contribute to team activities across life cycle systems engineering processes from stakeholder needs through validation • Analyzes complex systems, processes, and organizational architectures to improve development activities and outcomes • Assesses current state and collaborate with team members to provide high-value solutions • Research best practices for integration and tailoring to improve program performance • Models complex systems and leads the evolution of model-based systems engineering (MBSE) methods • Performs literature reviews and captures Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge in models using relevant modeling language(s) (SysML, UML, BPMN, Graphs, et al.) • Facilitate shared human understanding and organizational learning through proficient communication, professional development, and delivery excellence • Apply model-based systems engineering methods to systems and enterprise architecture development • Help propagate model-based methods as an MBSE catalyst • Capture documented knowledge and programmatic plans in system models • Capture knowledge of SMEs and team members in system models including assumptions, rationale, requirements, and decisions • Support modeling activities including platform and reference architecture development • Collaborate closely with SSI and client team members in sharing best practices and intellectual property • Articulate complex concepts and methods clearly to peers and leaders • Generate reports, capability briefings, plans, and other required products

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of engineering experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or another STEM discipline
  • US citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
  • Proficient written and oral communicator with proven ability to influence key outcomes
  • Knowledgeable in development and acquisition processes (Automotive, Defense or other)
  • Exceptional computer skills and experience with modeling languages such as UML, SysML, and BPMN
  • Automotive or robotic control systems experience, modeling of system behaviors and functional safety
  • Object Management Group (OMG) Certified Systems Modeling Professional (OCSMP)
  • INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional Certification (ASEP, CSEP or ESEP)
  • Previous use of engineering tools such as Jira, Confluence, MagicDraw/Cameo, Windchill, Teamcenter, DOORs, and others

This also includes the operational support for all managed enterprise-wide software solutions. In partnership with the software vendors and business units, the analyst will work to maximize opportunities to use technology to improve products, services, and/or business processes.
