Senior Microsoft Engineer

The Redesign Group

The Redesign Group is seeking a Senior Microsoft Engineer to design, deploy, and support Microsoft-based infrastructure solutions across customer environments. This is a highly technical, customer-facing role responsible for delivering scalable Microsoft solutions, leading complex implementations, and providing expert-level consulting across Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure, and Microsoft 365 platforms. You will collaborate closely with solution architects, project managers, and customer stakeholders to translate business needs into secure, reliable technical outcomes. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys owning delivery from planning through execution. What You’ll Do - Design and implement Microsoft infrastructure solutions across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments. - Lead complex Microsoft deployments, migrations, and upgrades. - Provide advanced troubleshooting and escalation support. - Architect and support Active Directory and identity services. - Execute Azure and Microsoft 365 migrations. - Deploy and optimize Windows Server and virtualization environments. - Automate tasks using PowerShell and maintain technical documentation. - Work directly with customers in a consultative, delivery-focused role. Required Qualifications 7+ years supporting Microsoft infrastructure in a professional services, MSP, VAR, or enterprise environment. - Strong expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure, and Microsoft 365. - Experience designing and delivering secure hybrid or cloud-based Microsoft solutions. - Hands-on experience with virtualization (Hyper-V) and core networking fundamentals. - PowerShell automation experience. - Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer-facing consulting skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Microsoft-aligned hyper-converged infrastructure solutions. Familiarity with backup and recovery tools such as Veeam. Knowledge of Microsoft security and identity technologies including Entra ID, MFA, Conditional Access, and RBAC. - Experience with Intune, MECM/SCCM, or endpoint management tools. - Exposure to compliance-driven environments (PCI, HIPAA, SOC 2). - Experience with infrastructure automation tools (PowerShell DSC, ARM templates, Terraform). - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
