Staff Product Designer

The Role As Staff Product Designer, you’ll be the principal hands-on designer for our creation suite. You will own end-to-end user experience— from early research and prototyping through polished, pixel-perfect interfaces—across image, video, 3D, and audio workflows. You’ll partner with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to translate game-studio pain points into elegant, intuitive tools that feel “built for artists.” This is a senior individual-contributor (IC) role with company-wide impact: you’ll set design quality bars, evolve our design system, and mentor other designers as the team grows. What You’ll Do - Lead product design for flagship features—concept sketches, user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity mocks, and interactive prototypes. - Drive artist-centric research: plan studies, run interviews, synthesize insights, and turn findings into clear action. - Shape our design system (components, patterns, tokens) to keep experiences cohesive across web and desktop surfaces. - Collaborate tightly with VP of Product & VP of Engineering to scope MVPs, validate interaction models, and refine in iterative releases. - Champion accessibility & craft—ensure every interaction feels fast, delightful, and inclusive. What We’re Looking For - 7+ years of product/UX design with at least 2 years designing complex creator or B2B SaaS tools. - A portfolio demonstrating shipped, production-ready experiences (bonus if you have experience building for conversational models). - Mastery of Figma, Storybook, and Material UI (or equivalent), rapid prototyping, and design-system thinking. - Fluency in user-centered research methods and ability to translate research into strategic product decisions. - Proven track record collaborating with cross-functional partners in an agile, fast-moving startup environment (bonus if you have worked closely with startup user acquisition testing). - Excellent written and spoken English; you can articulate design rationale to artists, engineers, and executives alike. Nice to Have - Experience with generative-AI, UA Ads, game-art pipelines, or game art tools (e.g., Unreal, Unity, Blender). - Experience designing conversational interfaces with AI agents. - Experience in designing realtime collaborative experiences. - Familiarity with Gaming, LiveOps, or Ad Tech. Don’t worry if you don’t meet every single requirement—if you’re enthusiastic and ready to learn, we’d love to hear from you. Why Join Layer AI? - Innovative Projects: Shape the future of AI-driven tools for creative professionals in games & entertainment industry. - Autonomy: Lead projects from concept to launch. - Growth: Join a rapidly expanding startup with abundant growth opportunities. - Collaboration: Work with passionate technologists and creatives. Apply Now If you’re excited about redefining creative workflows with generative AI, we’d love to hear from you! Please send your resume and any relevant portfolio links. Let’s shape the future of game art together. Our Values: 🚀 Execute Pragmatically: We approach work with speed and practicality in mind. We take individual ownership over our work, and we trust each other to deliver, but we avoid working in isolation. We strive to be excellent at what we do and will take time to deepen our knowledge of our craft; the more we learn, the better we can execute! 💓 Be Open: At Layer, openness applies to both the business and the people who work within it. We are continually open to giving and receiving feedback and learning new things from each other. We communicate openly and honestly. We are humble and kind and acknowledge that we are not always right. 🌎 Artists First: We are building a tool for artists, to enable them to be more creative and imaginative. We make sure that everything we are building serves artists first. What we offer: - Equity plan - Competitive salary - Laptop / equipment budget Commitment to equal opportunity: We believe that everyone should work in an environment free from discrimination and harassment. All applicants will be treated fairly and judged solely on their merits. Our recruitment process is open, honest, and fair.

UX/UI Designer - Mobile
HerbalifeSince 1980, Herbalife has been helping people live healthy, active lives. Weight management, personal care and nutritional products are available through indepe
Overview THE ROLE: Pro2col is a new digital product initiative within Herbalife, focused on modernizing how consumers engage with our brand through web and mobile experiences. We are building a scalable digital platform from the ground up and assembling a founding team of designers who want to shape the experience — not inherit someone else's system. Mobile is central to how our consumers will interact with Pro2col. This role exists to make that experience exceptional — and you will be the person who defines what it looks, feels, and behaves like. As a UX / UI Designer for Mobile, you will own the end-to-end design of our iOS and Android experience — from early concept and user flows through to detailed, production-ready interface specifications. You bring deep knowledge of mobile UX patterns, platform conventions, and gesture-driven interaction to a team building something new. You will partner closely with the web designer to establish a unified product design language, and work directly with engineers to ensure what gets built matches what was designed — down to the detail. HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE: Lead Mobile UX and UI Design - Own end-to-end design for the mobile app — user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity UI, and final specifications - Design for both iOS and Android, respecting platform conventions (iOS HIG, Material Design) while maintaining a cohesive brand identity - Create gesture-driven, thumb-friendly experiences that feel native, intuitive, and fast - Design for accessibility from the start — contrast ratios, tap targets, screen reader compatibility, and beyond Prototype to Validate- Not just to Present Prototyping in this role is a core design discipline, not a deliverable. Specifically, you will: - Deliver rapid Figma prototypes — clickable through interaction-ready — to validate flows, content, and edge cases before engineering begins - Produce design-system-aligned, componentized prototypes with clear annotations and acceptance criteria to enable predictable engineering delivery - Use prototypes as a primary tool to surface UX risks, test assumptions with real users, and align stakeholders before build Build the Mobile Design System - Establish and maintain a mobile component library and design system in Figma - Define mobile-specific patterns for navigation, onboarding, notifications, empty states, and key user journeys - Collaborate with the web designer to align shared design language and tokens across platforms - Evolve the system as the product matures, balancing consistency with the need to move quickly Partner with Product and Engineering - Work directly with engineers to produce clear, annotated specs and handoff assets that leave no room for interpretation - Collaborate with product management to shape feature definitions from a user experience perspective - Participate in usability testing sessions and incorporate findings into iterative design improvements - Contribute to design critiques and help maintain a high quality bar across the full product WHY THIS ROLE IS DIFFERENT Most mobile design roles ask you to improve an existing app. This one asks you to invent it. You will not be measured by screens delivered. You will be measured by: - The intuitiveness and quality of the mobile experiences you design - The robustness and scalability of the mobile design system you establish - The degree to which your prototypes and design decisions reduce risk and ambiguity for engineering - Your influence on product direction — not just the screens you hand off Qualifications SKILLS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL: - 5+ years of UX / UI design experience with a clear focus on mobile (iOS and/or Android) - Expert proficiency in Figma, including component-based design, prototyping, auto-layout, and design system management - Comfort with Sketch or Adobe XD as supplementary tools - Deep knowledge of iOS Human Interface Guidelines and Android Material Design principles - Strong portfolio demonstrating both UX problem-solving and high-quality visual design for mobile products - Proven experience building and maintaining mobile design systems and component libraries - Track record of close, effective collaboration with engineering teams through to implementation NICE TO HAVE: - Experience designing for both iOS and Android simultaneously within a single design system - Familiarity with React Native or mobile development constraints — you don't need to code, but understanding what's technically complex vs. straightforward is a genuine asset - Background in consumer apps, health and wellness, or e-commerce - Experience with mobile motion design and animation patterns - Familiarity with App Store and Google Play design review requirements - Exposure to UX research methods and usability testing facilitation EDUCATION: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Design, or related field combining technical and design elements; Exceptional portfolios demonstrating learning-driven experience engineering may substitute for formal education.• Preferred: Master's degree in HCI, Interaction Design, Computer Science, or related field; portfolio demonstrating excellence in both code quality and user experience• Certifications: Front-end development certifications, UX certifications, Web Accessibility certifications (IAAP) valuable #LI-AR1 #LI-Hybrid #LI-REMOTE US Benefits Statement Herbalife offers a variety of benefits to eligible employees in the U.S. (limited to the 50 States and the District of Columbia), which includes Group Health Programs, other Voluntary Benefit Programs, and Paid Time Off. Group Health Programs include Medical, Dental, Vision, Health Savings Account (HSA), Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), Basic Life/AD&D; Short-Term and Long-Term Disability, and an Employee Assistance Program (EAP). Other Voluntary Benefit Programs include a 401(k) plan, Wellness Incentive Program, Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP), Supplemental Life/Critical Illness/Hospitalization/Accident Insurance, and Pet Insurance. Paid time off includes Company-observed U.S. Holidays, Floating Holidays, Vacation, Sick Time, a Volunteer Program, Paid Maternity and Paternity Leave, Bereavement Leave, Personal Leave and time off for voting.
