Arborist Trainee – Climber
Lucas Tree Expert Co, Inc
• Manual removal of vegetation from work areas • Pesticide application • Safely operating various forestry equipment (skidders, mowers, chainsaws, ATV's) • Performing line clearance, pruning, and removals
Job Requirements
- Must be able to work 45 hours weekly.
- Must be 18 years of age with a High School Diploma/GED/or equivalent.
- Must have a current and valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
- Must be able to work outside in various types of weather.
- Must be physically able to perform the requirements of the position (i.e., walk on uneven grounds, carry 75 lbs.)
- Must be willing to work at varying heights.
- Must be willing and able to learn how to run a bucket truck & operate equipment safely.
- Must be willing and able to obtain a CDL A or B license.
- Must be willing and able to obtain, and maintain licenses & certifications as required by the position in order to grow your career.
- Must be able to successfully complete a post offer physical & drug screen as well as a background and motor vehicle check.

Senior Lightning Scientist

• Serve as a technical and scientific authority on lightning physics, detection methodologies, and operational interpretation. • Lead the development, evaluation, and improvement of lightning detection algorithms using techniques such as TOA, TDOA, interferometry, and hybrid approaches. • Analyze RF signals across relevant frequency bands used in lightning detection, including waveform characterization, noise mitigation, and signal classification. • Collaborate with hardware and electrical engineering teams on sensor design, RF front-end considerations, antenna design, placement, and calibration strategies. • Develop and refine signal processing pipelines for real-time and post-processed lightning data. • Design, test, and validate algorithms for lightning geolocation, flash clustering, classification (e.g., CG vs IC), and quality control. • Evaluate network performance, detection efficiency, location accuracy, and timing precision using ground truth and statistical methods. • Contribute to the integration of lightning data into forecasting, nowcasting, severe weather detection, and machine learning systems. • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to scientists and engineers working on lightning-related systems. • Document methodologies, assumptions, system limitations, and scientific findings for internal and external stakeholders. • Collaborate with product, operations, and research teams to translate scientific advances into scalable, customer-facing solutions. • Performs other duties as assigned.
• Support the design and execution of patient recruitment, collaborating with study teams to identify the target population and support outreach strategies across the trials. • Develop and implement study plans for recruitment and retention. • Develop and implement educational plans and tools for sites to aid in protocol execution and participant safety. • Building and maintaining relationships with sites, CROs, and vendors that support trial recruitment and retention efforts. • Extend the company connection to advocacy groups and other organizations that support recruitment and retention in clinical trials. • Conduct market research to understand patient needs and barriers to participation in clinical trials and using this information to plan adequate recruitment/retention strategies. • Create Site and Participant facing documents/materials that define direction and support of recruitment and/or retention.
