Senior DevOps Engineer

Social Discovery Group

• Support and develop hybrid AWS-based infrastructure • Automate infrastructure using Terraform (AWS) and Ansible • Build, improve, and maintain CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions (for both application delivery and infrastructure workflows) • Develop and maintain monitoring (Prometheus + Thanos), logging (Loki), and visualization (Grafana) systems • Analyze production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes • Collaborate closely with development teams to support infrastructure and pipeline needs • Administer and configure core services such as nginx, Redis, RabbitMQ, RDS (MSSQL), ECR, Route53, and CloudFront • Implement FinOps practices and optimize infrastructure costs

Job Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer / SRE
  • Strong hands-on AWS experience (EKS, EC2, VPC, CloudFront, Route53, RDS, ECR, etc.)
  • Solid Kubernetes experience (deployment, configuration, maintenance)
  • Production experience with Terraform and Ansible
  • Advanced knowledge of GitHub Actions (matrix builds, multi-step workflows, conditionals)
  • Deep understanding of CI/CD principles and best practices
  • Experience with Prometheus, Thanos, Loki, and Grafana
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to perform root cause analysis
  • Experience configuring nginx as a load balancer and ingress controller
  • Strong Linux administration skills (Bash, TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, system services, permissions, troubleshooting)
  • Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with development teams
  • High level of self-organization, emotional intelligence, and a positive, solution-oriented mindset

The team maintains AWS cloud environments, supports a DevSecOps platform, and deploys applications for the Small Application Support team.
