FINANCIAL DATA ANALYSTReports to: VP Business Operations Location: Remote Job Type: Full-time Who We Are Vero Fiber Networks specializes in building and operating dedicated fiber networks for K-12 educators, data centers, wireless infrastructure, and open-access network customers. Our mission is to bridge the digital divide by delivering the most advanced and reliable networks. We have constructed and currently operate extensive fiber networks across 21 states, encompassing over 160 markets. As a fully remote, dynamic team, we are committed to positively impacting our customers through innovation and enhanced connectivity.Vero Fiber is currently transitioning from a startup phase to a rapid scale-up, making this role critical in establishing robust, scalable financial and operational reporting infrastructure to support our accelerated growth. Who You Are You are a highly skilled individual who can drive operational excellence and financial clarity within Vero Fiber Networks. You enjoy the responsibility for delivering accurate and timely reporting, insightful variance analysis, and proactive process improvements. You have experience optimizing operations processes, forecasting financial outcomes, and supporting strategic decisions with data-driven insights. You are a team player and can collaborate across departments to ensure effective communication, facilitate buy-in for improvements, and contribute to the company's overall data architecture strategy, ultimately enhancing business efficiency and contributing to Vero Fiber Networks' growth. Key Responsibilities Recurring Deliverables - Customer Specific Operational Reporting: Author and update for key customers providing insights into discrete network performance and network activity - Network Operations Reporting: Author and update key network operations metrics for the nationwide Vero Fiber network. Including, working with Operational team members to recommend measurable, achievable and time bound actions to improve metrics - Recovery Management: Utilizing current process and workflows to provide updates on internal and external recovery efforts associated with network performance Near Term Deliverables and New Process Developments: - Cash Reporting: First maintain and then improve capital reporting process with the goal of providing succinct metrics and variance analysis relating to cash outflows (Capex) and cash in flows (Non-Recurring Revenue). This will enable tighter understanding of actual outcomes vs forecast and provide the business with improved forecasting capabilities. - Object Management/Accuracy: Enable exception reporting via dashboards to highlight objects within our systems that need to be modified to ensure accurate reporting and forecasting. - Additional items: Locate ticket analysis, pass through costs analysis, operational metric reporting, network operations expense analysis, bookings margin analysis Medium Term Deliverables and New Process Developments: - Quarterly Board of Directors Reporting: Maintain and improve current Board of Directors reporting process via Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint. - Quarterly Forecasting: Maintain and improve current material inputs into the Vero Fiber Networks forecast. - Data and Reporting Architecture: Provide input and execution against a company wide data architecture plan relating to specific Financial Data tasks and more broadly, company deliverables Qualifications & Experience - Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Data, Systems or equivalent work experience - 2+ Years of Applied Data/Finance Experience: We value high-level classroom projects, dedicated lab work, or internships that demonstrate expertise - Experience or interest in developing and executing data architecture processes throughout all areas of the business - Possesses strong professional communication skills via meetings, presentations, and writing - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven startup environment, and adapt to and enhance a growing company culture - A keen interest and understanding of data architecture and reporting - Proven ability to absorb and synthesize information from multiple sources, including frequent verbal discussions and translate that information into actionable tasks and deliverables - Results-driven with a focus on execution and continuous improvement Job Details and Physical Requirements - There is no travel required for this role. - Must be authorized to work in the United States. - This is a full-time position. - The expected schedule of this position is Monday through Friday during normal business hours. - This is an exempt position. - This is a remote position. - This position requires the ability to use a computer to complete the required tasks. Compensation and Benefits - Base pay is paid at an annual salary rate.
