Associate Partner – Captives, Business Origination
Augment Risk
• Source, qualify, and convert new captive opportunities across: Single-parent captives, Cell/rent-a-captive structures. • Bespoke alternative risk solutions integrating other Augment specialties (Parametric, Structured Risk, Insurance-Linked, Legacy). • Own the front end of the sales lifecycle from initial prospecting through opportunity qualification. • Drive consistent new account production through disciplined pipeline management and execution. • Build and maintain senior-level relationships with retail and wholesale brokers, captive managers, consultants, legal, actuarial, and advisory partners, and corporate risk managers throughout the US. • Identify and pursue new captive distribution channels and referral partnerships. • Develop targeted market and industry niches to create repeatable inbound opportunity flow for Augment’s Captives specialty. • Act as a trusted front-end advisor on captive suitability and structure, informed by strong working knowledge of captive formations and feasibility.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 10+ years of relevant captive or alternative risk experience.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- CPCU, CIC, and/or related P&C insurance designations strongly preferred.
- Proven business development originator with deep experience in captive insurance.
- Demonstrated success sourcing and closing complex captive transactions through broker- and advisor-driven distribution.
- Strong understanding of captive structures, feasibility considerations, and formation processes.
- Existing, active relationships within the U.S. captive ecosystem strongly preferred.
- Clear, confident communicator with executive presence.
- Highly self-directed, production-oriented, and comfortable operating in a pure origination role.
- Strategic thinker who understands how to align market opportunity with underwriting and capital considerations.
