Technical Project Manager (R&D Programs) Job Type: Contract-to-Hire (Permanent considered for the right candidate) Location: Richmond, VA (Remote possible, depending on candidate/role fit) Rate: $50–$65/hr Position Overview We are seeking a Technical Project Manager to manage research and development (R&D) projects from planning through execution. This role focuses on project execution, cross-team coordination, and milestone tracking. The ideal candidate has several years of experience managing technical projects and is looking to grow into higher-level program leadership. Key Responsibilities - Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans. - Track deliverables and action items across mechanical, electrical, software, and validation teams. - Support design reviews, prototype builds, and testing efforts. - Facilitate day-to-day coordination, risk tracking, and reporting. - Provide regular project updates to internal stakeholders. - Ensure accurate documentation of requirements, risks, and lessons learned. - Focus on execution and coordination to keep projects moving forward. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. - 3+ years of project management experience in a technical or R&D environment. - Familiarity with engineering tools (SolidWorks, CAD, Jira, Confluence, MS Project). - Understanding of product development lifecycles (concept, prototype, test). - Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills. Additional Details - Contract-to-Hire is preferred, though permanent placement may be considered for the right candidate. - Remote role – must be an excellent communicator and able to collaborate across distributed teams.

This hands-on role is responsible for the end-to-end technical execution of the data processing workflow, ensuring the efficient, accurate, and defensible transformation of large, complex data sets into review-ready formats. The ideal candidate is an expert in industry-leading processing platforms, meticulous in exception handling, and committed to upholding the rigorous quality control and chain-of-custody standards required for complex litigation and investigations. Responsibilities: - Execute end-to-end processing of diverse data sources (email, chat, cloud exports, mobile images), including deduplication, metadata normalization, text extraction, and publishing to review platforms. - Troubleshoot complex file issues (encrypted, corrupted, proprietary formats) and perform rigorous QC checks to ensure data integrity and defensibility. - Prepare and publish processed data to hosting platforms (Relativity, Everlaw, DISCO), ensuring accurate field mapping, family relationships, and analytics readiness. - Cross-Functional Collaboration - Partner with Project Managers, meet deadlines, and provide technical guidance on best practices. - Maintain detailed SOPs, audit logs, and processing notes to uphold chain-of-custody and defensibility standards. - Identify opportunities for process enhancements, evaluate new tools, and mentor junior team members on technical and operational best practices. Under the direct supervision of a manager or director and according to established policies and procedures, the Analyst I performs routine analysis to include evaluation of hardware and software based on end user criteria. The Analyst I performs workflow analysis, design, development, testing, training, implementation, management and support of assigned application systems and/or projects.
